Up for auctionup for auction is my grandfather's 1967 Pontiac Bonneville convertible. Vin# 262677P170008. 209. 00 actual miles. It is a true one owner car. the title was put in my mothers name when my grandfather died. She never drove it. I have several pictures of her and him with the car as well as a newspaper article that was written about my grandfather and this car with a picture of him in it. I really hate to sell this. He special ordered this from the factory. He ordered a new convertible every year after he got back from WW II until 1967. the year my mom (his only child) graduated. He was a bachelor since 1949. so his Bonnevilles were his pride and joy. He took immaculate care of them. this car was special ordered with the 428 (high-output motor I believe) . It has power windows. power top. power antenna. automatic with center console. basically delux interior. This car was only driven in the summer. He always kept a winter car. It was stored inside. The car was outside for a couple years after he passed. Then I took it inside my climate controlled shop. It is all there and original. I own a professional restoration shop in Indiana. Ironic. I know. I would love to restore this car but I don't have the time or money to do it. I would like to see it go to someone who will be able to restore it. I offer my services in that regard. You can check out my work at www. zingercustoms. com. The condition:The car was as I mentioned well cared for. however. it was involved in an accident in a parking lot years back. I know for sure one of the quarters was replaced. I don't know anymore than that. As far as rust it is overall real solid a far as I can see. a few bubbles of rust on the front / lower of the doors. the bottom of doors inside are good. some surface rust along lower door skin seam . the worst is in the door opening on driver side at rocker. . see pic. The floors are solid except for around the drain hole on the rear floor area for some reason just a small patch required. the trunk is solid. The quarters are solid. fenders too. The interior door panels and seats have mildew on them from rain that got in when the cover blew off in a storm. but it cleans up with little effort check the pictures of the door panel befored and after. it took a spray of cleaner and a rag. just wipes off. no rips in seats. needs new carpet. overall interior restoration. door panels need replace only because the chrome plastic strips are flaking. the console was overlaid with vinyl wood grain at some point. needs a new top but the power top did work the last time we had it running a few years ago. All the exterior trim is in great condition. The body panels are straight. I don't think there are even any dents. Just scratches. It also has the fender skirts. The engine is original to the car. He upgraded to a Holley carb. # 6210-3 I believe the chrome valve covers and air cleaner are the factory ordered for HO 428. The first few pictures were taken a year before I took it to my shop. it ran as you can see. And the interior was nice and mildew free. He did put a lot of miles on it. drove from Fort Wayne IN to Kentucky quite a bit to see family. Toured the lakes in the summers. I can take more pictures and provide more info as needed. Just ask. Local pickup or you arrange shipping. Again i would offer my services to do a complete frame off restoration. www. zingercustoms. com . Thanks and happy bidding.
