Car description

YOU ARE BIDDING ON 2 SPECIMENS OF 1973 MUSCLE CAR AUTOMOTIVE HISTORY! I bought this 73 Trans Am 455 in 1982. The VIN in the dash matches the VIN on the engine. The VIN for the Formula 400 is 2U87T3N125080. The This car was originally Brewster Green as you can see on my original pink slip when the car was bought new in California in 1973. I'm pretty sure that I'm the 3rd owner & my x husbands name is the next registered owner & probably still listed as the registered owner. He left the car to our 31 yr old daughter & I don't know if she has transferred the title yet. Technically I'm selling the car for her but the Trans Am hasn't left my family since I bought it in 1982 for the sweet price of $1100 ! I know...WHAT A DEAL RIGHT?! The shaker scoop was stolen about 1 yr ago but I am able to get one or I will purchase it for who ever wins the bid on this 2 car package deal. I divorced in 1988 & signed my interest off to my X husband but he passed away in 2010 & the Trans Am has been parked ever since. I have the seats stored in the attic of my house & I also have the original 8 track cassette player. I think my x husband put a manual transmission in at some time as you can see from the picture. The Formula 400 has no engine, it was going to be used as a parts car for the trunk & doors. The Trans Am had added spoiler & fender flares and a single hood/shaker scoop. The Formula was produced with mail box hood scoops. The Formula has no hood as you can see in the photos. The Trans Am was covered by a canvas car port until about 1 1/2 yrs ago when I had it taken down due to deterioration from the rainy weather in Oregon. I was planning on restoring the Trans Am but due to financial reasons I am not able to. I know how beautiful this car was when I bought it with its still shiny Brewster Green stock paint job & its ROARING stock 455 engine & I know when restored it will be even more beautiful. Driving a 455 Trans Am is like no other car I have ever had. It is a head turner no matter where you go & I was proud to own this Icon of American Automobile Perfection. The person that buys these cars is going to have a lot of work cut out for them but I promise that you will not regret this investment once the job is done. If you have never driven a Trans Am 455 then you don't know what a true muscle car drives like. Its the best driving experience you will have in your life possibly. There were 4472 Trans Ams produced in 1973 but only 146 were painted a BEAUTIFUL Brewster Green & this was one of them. Unfortunately my X husband painted it blue. This car is one of only a handful left in existence & it is definitely able to be restored to its near original condition. There were only 48,600 miles on the speedometer when I bought the Trans Am & there isn't much more on it now. Approx 52k. I will get an exact mileage & revise this add accordingly ASAP. The Trans Am was running when it was parked in 2010. It will run again. WILL YOU BE THE LUCKY PERSON TO ACCOMPLISH THIS? GOOD LUCK & BID WISELY but what ever you do if you are the winning bidder, TAKE CARE OF THIS AWESOME CAR that I have owned for 35 long years. If you have any questions please feel free to message me. I have more pictures available & will take any pictures requested to help you decide if you want to take on the job of restoring this RARE PIECE OF AMERICAN MUSCLE CAR HISTORY!
