FIRST LET ME APOLOGIZE TO ALL OF THE PONTIAC JUDGES, XPERTS AND ENTHUSIASTS IF I GET SOME OF THE INFORMATIO, ACTS OR DETAILS WRONG.... I AM NOT A PONTIAC EXPER, UMBERS EXPERT OR A BODY EXPERT... BUT THIS IS WHAT I KNOW ABOUT THE CAR-
THE CAR WAS BROUGHT TO US BY A LOCAL BUSINESS OWNER AND CAR COLLECTOR. IT WAS BOUGHT FROM ITS ORIGINAL OWNER IN RHODE ISLAND BY A LOCAL INDEPENDENT CLASSIC CAR DEALER AND SOLD TO ITS CURRENT OWNER THIS YEAR. THE CURRENT OWNER WANTED TO RESTORE IT BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL CONDITION, UT OTHER PROJECTS AND A PICK UP IN HIS BUSINESS IS KEEPING HIM FROM GETTING STARTED.
THE CAR IS BELIEVED TO HAVE ORIGINAL 44,000 MILES, INCE IT COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL REGISTRATION AND WAS NEVER RE-SOLD OR RE-REGISTERED.
THE CAR IS FINISHED IN C2 POLAR WHITE WITH A BLACK CONVERTIBLE POWER TOP AND TRIM 54 RED INTERIOR. I WOULD LIKE TO SAY ITS ORIGINAL PAINT, UT IT MAY HAVE HAD A REPAINT AT SOME POINT IN THE PAST ? AS YOU TELL FROM THE PICS- THE CARS BODY PANELS DO SHOW RUST AND AGE. THE DOORS DO LINE UP WELL, PEN & SHUT NICE AND SOLID. THE HOOD ALSO "POPS" OPEN WITH EASE AND CLOSES WITH NO BINDING. THE TRUNK KEY WORKS, AS GOOD ALIGNMENT AND CLOSES PROPERLY. THE TRUNK PAN SEEMS TO BE PRETTY SOLID CONSIDERING THE RUST IN OTHER AREAS. THE FLOORS AND FIREWALL ALSO SEEM TO BE FAIRLY SOLID. THE GLASS APPEARS TO BE DECEN, INDOWS ROLL UP AND DOWN AS THEY SHOULD.
TOP AND INTERIOR DO SHOW AGE AND DETERIORATION- GAUGES APPEAR TO BE IN WORKING ORDER ( CLOCK DOES NOT WORK ).
THE COMPLETE DRIVETRAIN IS BELIEVED TO BE ORIGINAL ( NOT REALLY SURE HOW TO CONFIRM BLOCK PAD #'S ON PONTIACS ? ) . THE CAR STARTS UP, UNS AND DRIVES- THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE STEERING COLUMN / CONSOLE LINKAGE FOR STARTING IN PARK AND PUTTING IN NEUTRAL. DO NOT KNOW THE CONDITION OF THE BRAKES, RANSMISSION OR OVERALL DRIVABILITY- BRAKE PEDAL DOES GO TO THE FLOOR.
CAR COMES WITH ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER, -O-P ( PROTECT O PLATE , RIGINAL SALES AGREEMENT, RIGINAL SALES INVOIC, RIGINAL OWNERS BOOKS, RIGINAL REGISTRATION... ORIGINAL BUILD SHEET MAY STILL BE INSIDE THE CAR ?
