PONTIAC AMBULANCE conversions alone by SUPERIOR are VERY RARE and SoughtAFTER vehicles on their own. They are a part of automotive history not to berepeated. Most ambulances where done with Cadillacs back in the day makinga Pontiac version, uite rare. Sure its missing some key parts but the majorityof it is there and its a min rust SW car thats worthy of restoring or making it yourLimo to rent out. We have had it parked in front of our local performance shopthe last few weeks and it draws alot of attention from just traffic driving by.The possibilities are pretty endless for a vehicle like this.WE Market our vehicles I think BETTER then anyone else's on ebay. The most HONEST PICS available and description. Ive seen other sellers adsand pics, nd I find it hard to believe people even bid on some cars .UP FOR AUCTION: this is what we know about the car below.SUPER LOW FAIR RESERVE !!! JUST IN TIME FOR HALLOWEENBUT YOU CAN RENT IT OUT ALL YEAR LONG FOR PROMs, ARTIES,or WHATEVER YOU WANT, ave the coolest UBER CAR IN TOWN !HALLOWEEN would just be your busy time of the yr,, estore it properly andyoud still be busy all the time !!MILEAGE on the odometer shows aprox 25000, ould be originalcould have rolled over, ot sure it matters.BRIEF DESCRIPTION: the car has been in NM for as long as we can track it,and from we can tell, ow you see it now is how it was done about 20+ yrsago. After being used as a Hearse Limo for a while it was parked and it satfor several yrs. In the last few months, he gas tank and fuel lines got cleanedout, nd a new fuel pump was installed and it came to life quite easily.Starts and runs when you hit the key, lthough while running the old Quadrajetsmells like its running pretty rich. It may even have a small fuel leak in oneof the lines. Trying to track the smell down this week. For the most part its a driveras is, ut the tires are pretty old. Mechanically its almost ready for the road as adaily. Ive driven it up to the store a few times the way you see it and its a realattention grabber just the way you see it. Everyone comes up and wants to look atit inside and out and ask about it. If it was restored to the next level, t would bea great Limo service / Uber car or Taxi ! The paint is toast, ut the body isnt toobad at all. I could only find rust or rot on the 2 front lower floorboards. Rest ofthe car is pretty rot free, hich for a New Mexico car (AZ and SW car) isnt a bigsurprise. Dress up like Elvira and hit the streets !
DRIVETRAIN:best of my knowledge, he drivetrain is all original with the factory 389 4v V8with a GM 3 spd auto and rearend. Has options like PS and AC, ut dont think theACs been working for several yrs, t seems all complete, here and intact.Because the exhaust is so beat up and hacked, he car is pretty loud at the momentbut it does start every time with the turn of the key.. idles well and choke works too.I smell gas when its running, o not sure if its just rich or if there is a small leak somewhere. If you buy the car, oull smell what Im referring to right away. It would want to be fixedduring its restoration.
INTERIOR:the original color was probably black and beige, nd which of course someone changed to acombination of Red and Black fabric / vinyl and crushed velvet. Under the seatcovers are whats left of the original beige bench seat. The whole interior needs a goodcleaning and restoration Id say too for the most part, ut at least its very completeMaking the resto much easier. Windshield has a crack. Dr side back door and Pass sidefront door stuck closed, hile the other doors and rear door work fine. Side curtainholders all seem to still be intact which is nice and jump seat still in place.
EXTERIOR: as mentioned before, he paint when done yrs ago wasnt agood job back then and much worse now. Its dry, laking and very sun beat. The patina actually adds to the cool look of the car and maybe leave itas is and just restore rest of the car. OR of course, estore the outter paintetc and make it a really nice cruiser. Best I can tell it wont need alot ofoutter body work. Several pieces of the missing outter trim DO come with thecar but are loose sitting in the back. And both front lower floorboards arepretty rusty, heyve had some metal put in their place as a temp fix butthe new owners may want to properly fix those too down the road. Some of thegauges on the dash work, ome dont and most of the exterior lites all work.
SUSPENSION: basically bone stock suspension the best I can tellIm sure most of the bushings are dry out, ut being a minimal rust carit would come apart easier then a rust bucket and making the repairsand restoration in its future again, ore attractive. The car floats downthe road and tires are way old.A nice set of maybe 20" steel wheels or Mobsteel wheels on the carwould be a pretty choice idea to do during the resto. Or maybe some18" Rally IIs on it would be cool.
