Car description

Hello,

You are looking at a 1969 Pontiac Executive 4 dr hard top. 400 CI (290HP) 2 barrel carb, 00 auto, S,P, /C, ower windows and Limited slip axle. The Executives are low production cars. An Executive, or those who may not know, s built on a Bonneville chassis, hich is longer that the rest, ith a dressed down interior of a Ventura. Venture interior is an upscale of the Catalina interior but not as plush as a Bonneville. The Venture and Executives of this year shared the same interior trim. The line up of big cars went: Bonneville as most plush/ expensive, xecutive was next, enture (built on Catalina shorter chassis) and last was Catalina, he least expensive full size 4 dr you could buy. This has the Parchment interior. That says it has a black dash, ear deck and carpets with all else white (Parchment). Outside color is called Mayfair Maze (light yellow). Unlike a lot of cars on E-bay this car has had a lot of work to make it a dependable, ice driving car. I will drive this car anywhere and have. Florida, enn., irginia all with no problems. I will list what I have done since I received the car. A note here that mileage you see in the pictures will go up as I drive this car.

When I received the car, found water leaking inside from back and front windows when I washed it. The car had been off the road for many years in a barn and I suspect the water leaks as the reason it was parked. I pulled the top back and removed the front and back glass. This is when I found rusted out window frames. I cut out all the rust and welded in new metal around windows as needed. Rear frame was much worse than front. With all the metal replaced I painted the surfaces before reinstalling the glass and then repainted trunk lid and both rear fenders. I did find some old body work in rear fenders that was repaired (also with metal patches) and refinished and repainted. They did not match the color exact on rear but close. The floor, trunk floor, rame are like new with no rust issues. It has been in shows and finished well. Once the car was water tight again I then found all that was not up to my standards.

The list of new: new trunk seal, iming chain and gears (double roller), ater pump, lt, /S pump( had a leak), uel pump and all new belts. I added an aluminum rad (4 row) as I use the A/C all the time. New clutch fan, ntifreeze, oses, stat. all cooling system repairs were done because of sitting. New motor mounts (both). A/C is R12 Freon still and is ice cold. Heater is hot as it should be. And controls work correctly to place system in position. Both lower ball joints, pper A-arm bushings, teering column to shaft rubber coupler and stab links are new. Master cyl and front wheel cyls. Brakes are good. Two new front tires with an alignment. Rear tires are like new but older. It drive's straight and easy as it should. It had a good single exhaust but I like dual, o it got a Waldron's aluminum pipe dual exhaust from manifolds to rear bumper with resonators and quiet mufflers. It still has a light tone from exhaust. Carb was rebuilt and I added a phenolic carb spacer to stop carb boiling after a stop in 100 deg weather. It did eliminate 90 % of boiling problem. Trans shifts great and strong and the rear axle is a limited slip with the stock gear ratio ( I can't remember exactly what it is... 3:08 I believe) It does have power windows and tinted glass. AM radio works as does the clock. Only thing that is NOT working is the windshield washers. Wipers work great. What is need to finish are four pieces of inside trim that the plastic is failing. I have three of the four and as soon as I can, plain on getting the fourth. They will need to be painted and installed. They are the trim between both front and rear doors on each side and both pieces along side of rear seat top up to rear deck. That's it! However the trim issues may be done soon if time permits. I drive this car a lot but my wife has had some health issues so we have a lot of other cars and several of them will be going. So if others go, his may stay. It has been adult owned its entire life (no rough driving ever). I am 4 owner of the car since purchased new. I have an interesting oral history of the car. However this is not a "fire sale" so no low ball offers will be considered. It is a car that is above most on E-bay that look like new, ut barley run or have a lot of hidden problems. I did not price it like something over the auction block (crazy price). Ask all the questions before you bid. Text, all, r e mail.
