GORGEOUS 1973 PONTIAC GRANDVILLE CONVERTIBLE WITH RIGHT COLORS (RED/WHITE) IN EXCELLENT CONDITION ANDVERY LOW MILEAGEVERY POWERFUL AND FAST 455 CU ENGINETHIS IS A VERY RARE CAR AND EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION WITH SUCH A LOW MILEAGETHE CAR IS COMING OUT OF CAR COLLECTION WHERE IT IS STORED AT AN INDOOR AIR CONDITIONED GARAGE ALL ITS LIFE AND RARELY USEDThis car is highly collectible. It is year 1973 which is the desired year for these cars as it has the very powerful 455 cu V8. This car is very big and spacious but the engine moves the car effortlessly and it is fast at the stop light as well as it is fast and powerful on freeways. It is in very good condition. The interior is almost new and exterior and paint in excellent condition. Top operates as it should and the car starts and shifts without any problem. As I indicated, his is a very rare opportunity to find one of these cars. ThePontiac Grand Villeis afull-sizecar that was the top-trim model in the division's full-sized line from 1971 to 1975. It displaced thePontiac Bonnevillewhich had served as Pontiac's top-trim model since 1958.

The Bonneville itself was not discontinued during this period, ut was demoted in status, n effect replacing the discontinuedPontiac Executive. The Grand Ville and Bonneville shared a number of trim and design elements that distinguished them from the Catalina, ut the 1971-72 Grand Villes were built on a stretched wheelbase version of the GM "B" platform that nevertheless had identical interior dimensions to all other full-size Pontiacs.

In addition to more luxurious interior trimmings, he Grand Ville had distinctive chrome up front and taillight trim at rear to set it apart. For 1974 only, he Grand Ville had its own parking lights, hich wrapped around the corner of the front fender. The car was often seen with deluxe appearance options, uch as sport wheels and vinyl tops. Rear fender skirts were featured on the 1973 to 1975 models.

Standard equipment on Grand Ville models included a 455 cubic-inchV8 engine(for 1971-74 models, 400 cubic-inch V8was standard and the 455 optional for 1975),Turbo Hydromatic Automatic Transmission, ower steering and power front disc brakes. Popular options included air conditioning, ower windows and driver's seat, ilt steering wheel, ruise control, M/FM stereo with tape deck and much more. One of the rarest options available on Grand Villes and other full-sized Pontiacs during this period was the adjustable brake and accelerator pedals offered from 1974 to 1976.

Grand Ville enjoyed moderate success from 1971 to 1973. However, heArab Oil Embargoof late 1973 and early 1974 led to gasoline shortages, ong lines at filling stations, nd skyrocketing pump prices. These factors would sharply cut into full-sized car sales in 1974 as Americans were shunning big gas guzzlers in favor of smaller more fuel-efficient cars. For 1975, he Grand Ville became the Grand Ville Brougham and included more standard equipment than in previous years, uch as power windows and a carpeted trunk. This would be the final year for the Grand Ville series, hich also included Pontiac's last convertible until 1983. For 1976, he Grand Ville nameplate was dropped and the lineup was renamed Bonneville Brougham, eturning that nameplate back to its former flagship status.

Grand Ville convertibles were rare in the years from 1971 to 1975, ever topping 5,000 per year during the model run. From 1973 to 1975 the Grand Ville was Pontiac's only full-size convertible offering, 971 and 1972 full-size Pontiac convertibles were offered in both the entry level Catalina line and the posh Grand Ville line. There were no convertible Bonnevilles after the 1970 model year. The rarest of the rare Grand Ville convertibles was the 1971 model with just under 1,800 examples built. The final year 1975 proved to be the most plentiful with just over 4,500 cars built, s word had gotten out that this would be the final year of production. The Grand Ville convertible had the lowest production among its corporate cousins, heOldsmobile 88Royale,Buick LeSabre/Centurion,Chevrolet CapriceClassic andCadillac Eldoradoconvertible lines.

Please understand that this is not a cheap car. It is a very rare vehicle and it is in pristine condition. If you check the internet you will see where these cars were and are currently selling. I have a very reasonable reserve but it is consistent with the market value of these cars. You will be able to figure that out by doing a simple internet search. Please do not ask me what my reserve is or what is my bottom line or what will buy the car. I am not willing to disclose that as this is an auction. I will however consider offers. If you would like to make an offer please email me through ebay with your offer and I will respond and let you know if that will buy the car.

As to shipping, lease check for your own shipping options. I am a private seller and I do not arrange shipping. But I will assist as I have had cars shipped to me as a collector and I am familiar with the process. Please remember that shipping is buyer's responsibility. The car will not be released until the payment cleared into my bank account. I only accept "bank to bank wire transfer" (which is the preferred method for me) or in the alternative payment with a "certified bank check". In any event, will only release the car when my bank clears the money into my account.
