Car description |
---|
For sale here is a 1969 Plymouth Fury with factory original 318 and TorqueFlite automatic transmission. The body lines are straight and true, as are the hood, roof and trunk, except for a crumpled left front fender and a few very minor dings here and there. INCLUDED with the sale are a REPLACEMENT fender, including headlight bezel and grille, as well as a few other parts. (Everything you need to deal with that crumpled fender and grille.)
There is the usual surface rust for a vehicle this age in several places, but the only significant rust-through is in the right rear quarter, and I have a replacement panel available for that. All the glass is intact with no noticeable chips or cracks, and the windows operate fine. All hinges are good -- hood, trunk and doors open and close as normal. Chrome is in driver-quality condition, adequate for cruise nights. Rear bumper is dented on one end. Frame is intact and straight, with normal surface rust.
Interior is in good condition. Seats and door panels are loose (I had removed them to get quotes for new upholstery), but everything is there, just needing to be reinstalled. Rear seat and door panels are in very good condition. Front bucket seats are intact, but are not original to the car. (Original was a bench seat, so there is no center console.) Carpet appears to be in good condition, but could use a good cleaning. There is no sign of water leaks in the carpet or flooring. Floor pans and trunk pan are all intact.
Original factory air conditioning compressor is still there, but has not been converted to modern refrigerant. Exhaust system is intact back to and including the muffler, but rear pipes behind the muffler are gone. Muffler quality is unknown. Tires are old but hold air well enough for transporting. I would NOT suggest driving on them, however.
As mentioned above, I have replacement parts for the most significant needs included in the sale. All that is needed is minor stuff (like driver side mirror and replacement taillight lens -- just the red plastic lens, not the housing, etc.), and some time and TLC.
It's been sitting for some time, waiting for me to find time and energy to restore it. But now, declining health makes that impossible.
I hold clear title in my name. Vehicle is currently registered as an antique vehicle with registration good through 12/2024. Located close to interstate for easy transport, and I can be available nearly any day and time for pickup (with a day or two notice).
Non-refundable $250 deposit (PayPal or certified check) required within 24 hours. Full payment (certified check, money order or cash) due in 7 days (unless other mutually agreeable arrangements are made.) I can store the vehicle for 30 days at no cost. (Longer storage may be available at cost.)
SOLD AS-IS / NO RETURNS. I believe the above description to be accurate, but you are encouraged to inspect the vehicle yourself, or have it inspected by an inspection service.
