You’ll find a flathead 201 cid six-cylinder engine under the hood with a 3-speed manual transmission and this show-stopping example has been meticulously restored to perfection by WW Motor Cars in Broadway, Virginia back in 2004. This example must be seen in person to truly appreciate since it’s essentially “new again” throughout.Complete Nut & Bolt Restoration Completed in 2004The current owner of this 1939 Plymouth P8 Deluxe Convertible acquired it in 2018 and he informs us that it underwent a multi-year, nut and bolt restoration that was completed back in 2004. As you can see from the photographs, this example has remained in immaculate overall condition since that time and we have both pictures and receipts on file documenting the entire rebuild, along with the original owner’s manual and the original sales pamphlet.Additionally, this 1939 Plymouth P8 Deluxe Convertible is new in appearance with exceptional body lines, show quality paint and extensive bright work; even the undercarriage and components throughout the engine bay are immaculate. The attention to detail on this build was simply incredible since all serial numbers are highly visible and new in appearance- WW Motor Cars in Broadway, VA simply went above and beyond to make this build something truly special. It may be the most pristine example nationwide at this time since everything is period correct and in perfect working order. In terms of performance, this 1939 Plymouth P8 Deluxe Convertible starts easily and offers smooth performance from the rebuilt flathead engine. You wouldn’t mistake this for a muscle car, but it does get good power to the wheels and this example could be driven comfortably to local shows and events. The interior in particular feels like a time machine with the gorgeous 30’s dashboard with lots of chrome and working switches; the leather is also immaculate throughout. This is a truly special vehicle that belongs in a serious collection.Outstanding Quality & Craftsmanship Found ThroughoutOverall, this 1939 Plymouth P8 Deluxe Convertible is possibly the most prominent example nationwide thanks to an incredible restoration effort where no expense was spared. It’s being offered at an incredible asking price for one discerning collector, and there’s simply no way it remains available long with all it’s provenance and striking features.
