Pictures do not come close to doing this car justice but please click on the YouTube link above to see a short walk around video to get a better idea of just how nice this car really is. I do not think anybody will be disappointed with this Duster.
Have some fun this year! Cruise the boulevard, take the kids for the most fun they will ever have going to get Ice Cream, win a trophy at the Car Show, or just enjoy talking to everybody that will crowd around you anywhere you go. If you are shy, THIS IS NOT THE CAR FOR YOU. This car is ready to race, cruise, and enjoy the day that you get it. It is an absolutely beautiful, one of a kind 1972 Plymouth Duster. It is a true and dead consistent 11 second street car that has also been taken on 200 mile cruises. It is very drivable and extremely fast. It is turnkey and ready to have some fun! It made it to the semi finals of the NMCA True Street Shootout in 2013. It ran 11.57, 11.56, and finally an 11.51 @ 117 MPH. It's best pass ever has been 11.20 at 120 MPH. It is a 408 cubic inch Stroker motor with aluminum heads, reverse valve body 727 automatic, 8 3/4 rearend with Moser axles, electric water pump, Holley electric fuel pump, aluminum radiator, electric fan, polished headers, Flowmasters, subframe connectors, Wilwood front disc brakes, B&M shifter, Autometer Monster Tach, shift light, and on and on. I have a huge folder of receipts for the car. I also have dyno sheets as well as the cam card. The paint and body are very nice. Zero rust anywhere as you would expect on a dry California car. The floors and trunk are excellent. It is very straight. A few minor paint chips here and there but nothing big. Fiberglass lift off hood with Hemi scoop. The Duster has been mini-tubbed to accommodate the Hoosier Quick Times mounted on Weld Pro Stars.
NHRA legal roll cage with swing out side bar for easy access. Frankly, it is easy to get in and out of without swinging the bar. Covered bucket seats, stock dash and gauges, obviously with some aftermarket gauges added other places. The trunk is nicely done. Fuel cell and battery box mounted cleanly. Battery cut off switch on the rear valance panel. The engine compartment is very, very clean. This is NOT a hacked up race car. It is a very clean, very fun street and strip car that hits hard, goes straight, and goes fast. It is very drivable on the street. It would cost you a fortune to try and build this car from scratch today. Go racing or go cruising this weekend!
I would consider doing some horsetrading on an interesting Corvette, Muscle Car, or a steel body Hot Rod. Please be realistic with your trades. Just because you don't want your junk any more doesn't mean that I do either.Clean, clear California title in hand. All in all, you will have an extremely difficult time finding a cleaner one anywhere. It is far nicer than most of them that are out there. You see a Barracuda, Dodge Challenger,Cuda, or a RoadRunner at every Moparshow. When was the last time you saw a Duster like this? It is a very nice car but it is not perfect either. Please be realistic with your expectations. I am located in Cardiff, CA in North County Coastal San Diego. Inspections in person are encouraged. Thanks and good luck!
