Up for sale is this 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner out of my personal collection. I have been using it as a daily driver in the nice weather but decided to let it go to a new home as I bought another higher priced collector car and want to turn funds to help pay for it. This roadrunner is a very sharp great running and driving car. I have driven this on longer drives and tours etc. I had roadrunner cutouts made to stick in the ground for shows that go with the sale (pictured).
I originally bought it from a gentleman who had plans to restore it like I did but never got to it as health and money kept it from happening. I heard about the car being in his garage and bought it once I saw how solid it was (I have pics of it the day I bought it on the end of the video.) I got it home and the 383 engine ran great right away. I did the normal tune up type stuff and got the beep beep horn working. The trans I discovered would not shift out of first gear so I ordered a rebuilt era correct trans. I had a steering column installed as well (I could only get a auto on the column one, the indicators are just dummy ones and did not bother me to have them there, you can remove them if you want, this car shifts with the factory floor shift.) This car was born, I was told by mopar guy, with the buckets and center console with the floor auto shift. I was also told it is hard to find a 2 door post in 69, (not sure if that's accurate but they said it was pretty cool to see it. ) The speedo works and is usable but wobbles a bit so not the most accurate. The temp gauge works but the alternator and fuel gauge did not work so I installed aftermarket gauges (under the dash by center console)that do work.
The body was very solid when I found it, the only mentionable rust spot I saw was behind the rear tires on the lower fenders, and some pin holes in the trunk. (again watch the video for some pics of the day I got it) I ordered patch panels for the small lower spots and had a body shop repaint the car. I ordered the b5 blue paint it came with. After it looked good on the outside, I decided to redo most of the interior. I hired a local shop to redo the seats and headliner and carpet. Looks really nice. the dash is usable but I decided to leave it original. The underside looked clean and solid with normal road wear etc. nothing I can see that should be addressed unless you want to take to that super restored level. The exhaust is older but sounds and works fine.I basically have been driving it almost every nice day I could.I would describe this car as a very good quality daily driver. It definitelyis ready to use right now and has a eye catching look and stance. It has nice newer tires and the mopar wheels. You can take it to the next level if you want or use it the way it is and have a blast with it like how I was using it. I do not want to overcall it or undercall it, let the pics and video tell the story. It has a clean and clear title. Call me with any questions you have and I will do the best to answer them 563 568 1186
