- This is a rare race car built and sold by Sox and Martin Racing in early 1973. It was raced throughout the '70's and into the '80's then stored in a garage until 2006 when a friend of mine found it for sale and bought it. He shipped it from the east coast to WA State and updated it with all new front end parts, a new Strange Dana 60 456 rear end, Strange disc brakes all the way around, a Passon performance aluminum race 4 speed, and a new all Aluminum Keith Black Hemi with ported Stage IV heads, Crower roller cam, Stage 5 HD roller rockers, forged steel crank & rods, Diamond forged aluminium pistons, Milodon oil pump, 8 qrt pan etc. Other new parts include; aluminium radiator, ceramic coated headers, Dual disc clutch, new driveline, new brake and fuel lines, fuel pump etc. I have a folder with all the receipts of all the parts that were bought for it when my friend upgraded everything. I added up about 45K worth of parts he put into it.
- I acquiredthe car in 2010 and raced it a few times at Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA. The quickest time I was able to get was a 9.99 at 136 mph. Later, I put Caltracks on it trying to get it to hook up better but only raced it a couple more times and never really got them dialed in all the way. The car has acid dipped front fenders. It's never been a registeredstreet car, has always been a race car. I cant find any stamped production numbers on the car anywhere, not on the radiator support or around the trunk lip like every other production car has. I believe this was one of the body in white cars given to Sox and Martin Racing by the factory. There is no title for the car, there never was one as it's always been a race car and never registered to anyone. I do have the original bill of sale from Sox and Martin from 1973. I'd be happy to answer any questions about it or send you any pictures you need. Thank you.
