[isdntekvideo] 1973 Plymouth Road Runner "The Daisy Duke Lemon Twist Yellow Road Runner" selling at "No Reserve"
This is an extremely rare old classic antique 46 year old Road Runner purchased brand new in Florida back in 1973. Included with this auction is a partial build sheet and a Road Runner manual as shown in the picture section. This very cool vintage classic Mopar Muscle Car is selling at "No Reserve". The restoration was performed over a decade ago, but it was only used in the summer months on rare occasions, and then it went to not being used at all except for rare occasions to shows and on very nice days. It was never driven during the winter months. No expense was spared to make this Mopar into basically a very nice daily driver type work of art. I will explain everything I found out at point of purchase.

If you simply double click on the main picture of this auction page then all 24 pictures will open up and be able to be viewed in the larger size by clicking the arrows on each side of the larger pictures. This is the first time I am offering this Classic Cool Old Road Runner to the public on eBay.
This is not the actual Road Runner that was used in the Dukes of Hazard television series, but a very nearly close to exact recreation. It was purchased as it appears today brand new in Tampa Florida, so it really is a Lemon Twist Road Runner as verified by the fender tag. This exact car was used in a local recreation of The Dukes Of Hazard Movie. A copy of that movie will be included in this auction on DVD, so the fortunate winner can see how this Road Runner smoked the General Lee! Lol!!! In fact a portion of the movie is shown above.

I don't know much about these old Mopars, so I'm going by what I learned when I made the purchase followed by everything I've researched while owning this sweet "Daisy Duke" mobile. I do show the video above of the original "Daisy Duke" Katherine Bach actually signing the car. This Road Runner was taken to a local Dukes of Hazard 4th of July event where John Schneider "Bo Duke" was more than happy to lay down his autograph. This rare find has also visited Cooter's Last Stand in Luray, Virginia. Furthermore this Road Runner made a grand appearance at the Northeastern Ohio Dukes of Hazard Stunt Show in Cortland Ohio. Everywhere this baby goes people are attracted to it like a magnet, so you have to have an outgoing personality to drive a muscle car like this. It has attended several Dukes of Hazard type meets and a wide variety of car shows. It is always a main attraction wherever it goes. Heck, You can't really fill up the gas tank without drawing a crowd.

This Road Runner was always well cared for and never abused by the harsh Midwestern Winters. The mileage is claimed to be absolutely original at just under 52,000 original miles according to the prior owner. The undercarriage is in very nice condition. The exhaust system is newer and has true duals from front to back with dual Series 40 Flowmasters, so it has a nice sweet rumble. The original numbers matching 340 engine was completely rebuilt less than 2 years ago and bored .30 over balanced and blue printed. The heads were redone as well as a new crank, cam shaft, pistons, rods, rings, lifters, valves and a new oil pump. There is a new distributor cap, rotor, and new high performance spark plug wires. The belts and hoses with a brand new gas tank were also replaced at that time. There has been less than 2000 miles traveled on this completely rebuilt engine. The original 727 torqueflite transmission with new transmission mounts still lights this Lemon Twist Road Runner up. The front suspension including a brand new power steering gear box, power brake booster, master cylinder, and new rear shocks were recently done. I would not hesitate to drive this car across country. That's how well this Road Runner handles, runs, and drives.

No expense was spared making this classic 1973 Daisy Duke machine safe and roadworthy for fun in the sun. This paint work and the black striping still appears in nice condition. I would consider this a very nice daily driving type of muscle car. It would not take much to bring this Road Runner up to a live auction level where it would command the top dollar that these classic Mopars have been showing.

The entire interior appears in nice condition with bucket seats and the original console with the cool slap stick shifter. There has recently been a new headliner installed. There is a full set of four P225/70R14" inch Mastercraft Avenger GT Radial raised white lettered steel belted radial tires with like new tread. This Road Runner handles the road with confidence.

The title is from the State of Ohio and is open, clean, and clear, free of any liens. The title will be sent out by U.S. Priority Mail the same day the funds are clear to the lucky new owner of this "Daisy Duke" classic.

These older classics that have survived over 45 years are becoming harder and harder to find. Especially in this condition! The Nada Classic Car Price Guide currently has the 1973 Plymouth Road Runner with the original numbers matching 340/240 horsepower engine listed at $44,400 in high condition, which theyconsider an excellent overall vehicle that was completely restored, or an original vehicle showing very minimal wear. Note: This value does not represent a 100 point show car or a #1 vehicle. Those vehicles can reach much higher prices.
Nada has the average condition value listed at $26,760 which theyconsider in good overall condition that could be an older restoration or a well maintained original vehicle that is completely operable. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are presentable and serviceable inside and out. They say an average condition car is considered a20-Footer!
They have the lowest condition value at $12,120 being considered a deteriorated restoration or a very poor restoration, but mostly usable "As-Is!" The lowest value does not represent a parts car, but would be considered as the price for a car needing a complete restoration.
The Nada numbers don't lie! This Antique 1973 Plymouth Road Runner is a very valuable classic. I would personally consider this specimen in above average condition of what is classified under the Nada values. It would be very hard to find a classic muscle car of this magnitude without spending over $40,000.
I knowthis description is quite lengthy, but Iwanted to try and list all the pertinent information about the car, so every potential bidder can make the most informed decision prior to placing their bid.If you feel anything may have been left out please ask as many questions as you like. They will be answered in a timely fashion. A great deal of time, money, and effort went into making this Road Runner into the sweet cool ride it is today. What you see is exactly what you get!
For all of you hardcore Dukes of Hazard fans out there. This is a prime opportunity to make this purchase just in time for the 40th anniversary celebration on August 10th, and August 11th, 2019 in Shenandoah, Virginia. The Cooter's Good Ole Boys Duke Fest 2019. Daisy Duke will surely be there. Also in attendance will be Tom Wopat "Luke Duke" with Ben Jones "Crazy Cooter Davenport" and Cletus Hogg. It doesn't get any better than showing up in this notorious highly collectable muscle car classic.
This Ultra-Sweet Road Runner is being offered at "No Reserve" on a quick 5-day listing. It will sell to the highest bidder on Sunday evening at 5:00pm Pacific, 7:00pm Central, or 8:00pm Eastern time depending on your location.
