1962 Plymouth Sport Fury convertible project car 1 of 1516

Up for auction is my 1962 Plymouth Sport Fury convertible project car. This is a very rare car being that Plymouth only made 1,516 total 62 Sport Fury convertibles that year. It is a pretty complete car that has been sitting since the late 1970's in Virginia until the last few years. It is a (non-running) 318 2 bbl poly head with a push button automatic transmission. Manual drum brakes, power steering, AM radio round out the notable options. This is a project car and will need restoration. As far as what is missing: drivers side door body molding, rear interior top cylinder covers, bumper jack trunklid Sport Fury emblem. Otherwise, it is all there. The car had been sitting for a long time without a top, so the floors are the worst of the car. I am including a brand new AMD front floor pan which costs over $500. The car will need attention in the following areas: rear seat floor pans, small patch on the rear under seat pan, center of the trunk pan, some patch work on both lower 1/4 panels, typical 62-65 cowl patch on left side and a small patch on the bottom of the passenger side front fender. The car does have good hood, trunklid, doors, drivers side fender among other parts. The dash is complete, center console is there, bucket seats are there and some spare moldings will come with the car as well.
