Here's a chance to have a neat old car without the $40,000 to $50,000 investment. This '69 Plymouth was sitting about 16 years before I got it. I've drained & flushed the fuel lines out, rebuilt the carburetor, replaced the spark plugs & points, and the 318 runs great. I put 4 new Goodyear tires on it, and went through the brake system (new shoes, wheel cylinders, & hoses). It's not tagged, but I've driven it a few miles at highway speeds and it drives nice. With that being said, there's still a lot of things that are 16+ years old. I don't know of any potential problems, but still don't think I'd take off on a long trip without a little more checking out. The gauges work, except for the fuel gauge. The wipers work, I think there may be a couple light bulbs out; windows are good. The body has a rust area on the hood lip, the left front fender, and is starting to rust over the windshield on the drivers top corner. Other than that, the body is straight. Needs paint, but that's the ugliest green anyway. This car had no a/c & the heater core has been bypassed. The interior is really dirty, but decent shape - the drivers side front seat is worn in a couple spots. All in all, this would be a really neat car to drive while you're fixing it up however you like. I have way too many projects, so a couple have to go.
