Car description

Ladies and gentlemen!

Here we have a very rare opportunity to own a real deal J Code factory built true muscle car. This is a very low mileage car with only 13,000 actual and original miles. The exterior color is B3 Blue and the interior is two tone B3 and B7 Blue with a bench seat. It has a correct 426/425 HP Hemi with the factory Ram charger induction system. It has the original column shift 727 Torqueflite automatic transmission. It has the original 4.10 geared Dana 60 rear end. Talk about Grandma's car with a Hemi! The car retains all the original body panels and they match the VIN tag.

This car had just undergone a $75,000 complete rotisserie restoration. The entire car was stripped to bare metal and etch primed. Every square inch of this car has been properly prepped and painted including the inside, outside, and underside. The paint and body is laser straight and is absolutely stunning from every angle. The car did not appear to have had any rust removed. The interior is perfect and there has not been a single nut or bolt on this car that has not been replaced or restored. This car has less than 200 miles on it since the complete restoration.

Under the hood is as stunning as the rest of the car and the attention to detail is evident from front to back. The undercarriage is top notch. There is probably several hundred hours of prep and detail work alone.

I purchased this car from Barrett Jackson - Scottsdale several years back.I was an internet bidder so I bought this car sight unseen and when I received the car and got digging into it, I found a 1966 Hemi bored .100 over. I also found the original carburetors were missing and the car had headers. The rest of the drive train was all numbers matching and date code correct to the car. So that being said I sent the car to Jeff's Resurrections in Taylor, TX to be corrected at a cost of $30,000 plus. I purchased an original 1969 over the counter replacement block and I gave $13,500 for the block alone. I purchased an original set of carburetors for $4,800 as well as a set of stock exhaust manifolds for $2,000. I found all the other original parts to put the motor back together, all date code correct. In addition I found either NOS parts or parts from various individual's stock pile's: alternator, starter, distributor, wires, oil filter, hoses and clamps, intake, valve covers, water pump, fuel pump, pulley's, fan, lines, linkages, air cleaner, air filter, motor mounts, stock camshaft and to top it all off a new Gardner exhaust system. I tried to make the car as original as I possibly could with no expense being spared, then I had Galen Govier come and inspect the car to have it put into the registry.

Now for a couple of minor issues. This car has been in my private collection for many years. The car is running and driving but it is going to need a little TLC, like the carburetors cleaned up just from sitting but they have exceeded the life of the sta-bil. It is also going to need a new set of tires; they were new but now have flat spots from sitting. Galen and I both looked for the build sheet in the car but it was not under the rear seat and it was not under the carpet. Galen said there was a possibility it could be in the headliner, but I didn't want to disassemble it to look. So as far as I know, there is no build sheet on the car.

This car is for sale in more than one location. I am a private car collector and enthusiast, not a dealer and I typically don't sell cars. I'm going to be listing several cars all of which are my own personal cars that are titled in my name and have been for many years. The reason I'm selling is that my interests have changed. All of the documentation in this listing is included with the sale. I have a lot of photos of the car so if there is a specific area of the car that you would like to see, just ask. If you have any questions you can contact me, Tony Davis @ 713-363-3646. All questions will be answered truthfully and to the best of my ability. I think the photos and documentation will speak for itself. Please bid with confidence! This is a super nice and rare original muscle car which is an investment grade vehicle.
