You are looking at anon-running1964Plymouth Belvedere Hardtop Coupe that wasoriginally aCalifornia built, sold and owned factory 426 Street Wedge 4-speed car as certified throughChryslerHistorical. I was told when Ipurchased it in 2012 that the body only had 30,000 original miles on it, and it looks it. This car has also been certified by Galen Govier and I have all the documentation to back it up. This car wasprofessionally restored by Steve Barr of Barr's Classic Auto Restorations in Greenville, NC in 2014 at a substantial cost. Steve hasperformed a number of show quality restorations on classic cars; some ofwhich have crossed the lane at Barret-Jackson for well north of six figures. As a matter of fact, you will see my Belvedere featured on his website:www.barrsrestoration.com.At that time, the car was painted in Single Stage original Ruby Red inside and out, all new Legendary A864 Bucket seats with Aluminumpedestals, new carpeting, new Rear Seat Delete Package, New Headliner, New Windshield, New Sun Period Correct Dash Mounted Tach, new under dash gauge cluster, New Legendary A864 Door Panels, New Dodge D100 Steering Wheel, instrument cluster, freshly painted NHRA Roll Cage, competition belts and the list goes on. Front bumper was re-chromed along with all of the exterior trim and the aluminum grille was anodized. New Super Stock Hood Scoop with hood pins installed, new aluminum radiator, master cylinder andsteering gear. Underhood isspectacularly displayed in Ruby Red Paint. Also included is acomplete TTI 3" Exhaust system from headers out the back, 4 American Racing period correct mag wheels and street tires (Hoosiers and steel wheels are going to end up on my GTX and are not included) and a legendary Chrysler 8:3/4" Sure Grip Differential with 3:91 Gears.
Now the story on the engine :-( I had a 528 Race Hemi in this car that had just been gone through in 2015 by a "to remain unnamed" Mopar engine builder at great expense. When the car had accumulated only 79 miles, it spit one of the connecting rod caps out of the side of the block. Furtherinvestigation revealed that the cap bolt nut had either come off or not been installed initially. Needless to say, I was sick. As a result of my heartbreakover this car and too many other projects, I havedecided to sell it "as is" and not repair it. Basically, from what I canperceive, it will need a short blockassembly...period. If you wish to install another MOPAR performance engine (440, 383, Max Wedge, etc), you will need to install another crossmember; however, the HEMI cross member is quite valuable and can be easilysold for more than a standard member. I still have therecently refurbished 1964 Hemi K Heads, 1964 Date Coded Magnesium Cross Ram Intake, brand new Dual Holley Carbs, ceramic coated 3" headers, billet serpentinebelt set up,original race Hemi Air Cleaner (been rechromed), Rechromed Hemi Valve covers, chromealternator, water inlet and all the nuts, bolts, etc that will be needed for reassembly. I also have the driveshaft, Hemi Race Bell Housing, Clutch-pressure plate-release bearing-new, Hurst shifter and linkage and Aluminum case Hemi 18 Spline A833 transmission that was rebuilt by David's 4-speeds in Milwaukee at a cost of $2,500 79 miles ago. Alloff these "goodies" are included with the sale. The lastpicture in the listing is of that engine in the bay. If youdon't think this is a great deal, put a pencil to allthat has goneinto this car and then add the labor to complete it.EVERYTHING IS DONE; just add ashort block and go cruising, showing or racing! Please feel free to email me with questions and thank you for looking at my Belvedere. Located in Greenville, NCabout 85 miles east of Raleigh. Will deliver to within 250 miles of 27834 for areasonable fee. Check my feedback and buy with confidence! MerryChristmas and Happy New Year! Buddy
PS: I'll throw in the trashed block, pistons, rods, crank and oil pan if youwant it. I've never even tried to have it diagnosed or repaired. Perhaps it can be...
