Up for sale is my 1967 Barracuda Convertible. I have had the car for about 6 years. A lot of the hard body work is about done. The car is very solid and if you know these cars then you know when I tell you that frame rails. and trunk are ORIGINAL and solid. There was minimal BODYWORK needed and the patches in the body are metal and not mud. The drivers fender is the worst and could be fixed or replaced. I took it off to have it fixed but did not get around to it. however. a separate body guy said its about an even endeavor money wise. The original gentleman that was doing the bodywork was good but started putting a body line on the lower rear quarter. (These cars didn't have a body line) when I pointed this out. he got angry and decided to stop working on the car and hold my rear bumper hostage. It has a 225 slant six that was running until about 6 months ago. I believe that the points went bad or carb gummed up. I haven't checked points and i don't do carbs. The interior is solid but will need recovering and carpet. I swapped the break booster but the one I used made the car stop hard. It could need brake cylinders but didn't get that far as it would stop when I hit the pedal. The old one is included if you want to have it redone. Exhaust is replaced. new alternator. new gas tank and sending unit. new tires. fresh tune-up and fluids. (about a year ago this stuff was done) A person who knows what they are doing could probably have it up and running in a couple weekends then work on it as you go. The pieces missing are in the trunk (with the exception of the rear bumper that the body guy held hostage) The top and convertible track are in tact but it will need a new top. I had planned on putting a 68 top on it because the back window is glass and not plastic. I paid $4500 / $900 shipping for it when I bought it and have put around $1k into it thus far. The reserve is much less but please don't ask what it is. after all. it is an auction. I really hate to part with it. but too many projects. Please contact me if you have any questions. There is a small hole in drivers side rear floor as seen in the picture with the quarter beside it. but the floors in general are solid. I was going to POR-15 the trunk and floor but I didn't want anyone to assume I was hiding something. I thinks it is better to see what you are getting (unlike the barracuda my buddy bought on eBay that came from Ca. It was all primed up and listed as "solid". When it arrived it was solidly filled with putty from front to rear with NO usable panels whatsoever). **on a separate note: I am not a body man and rust scares me. I looked for this car for almost two years before finding it and I was not let down. It came from Vermont originally and was double undercoated. There is surface rust but that is easy enough to work with. The very lower quarters were bubbled up and needed fixing but I made sure the guy used metal. The car is sold as is - where is with no warranty expressed or implied. There is a $250. 00 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT by PayPal due within 24 hours of auction end. Remaining funds due within 7 days by cashiers check. postal money orders. or personal check. (These items will have to clear) cash in person is acceptable if you have made arrangements with me to pick up the car in person. EBay is expensive so please ask your husband/wife before hand. have the remaining funds available. and know that you are getting a 48 year old car that is a project. not a new car with a warranty and a nice smell. Feel free to ask any question that weren't already answered in the description as I will not respond to those. I have done my best to describe the car. add photos. and clearly state the terms. Please be as courteous. I will help the buyer get the car to a shipping terminal if needed for a reasonable fee. however. shipping is the buyers responsibility. If you have less than 5 feedback or less than 95% positive feedback as a buyer. PLEASE CONTACT ME FIRST OR I WILL DECLINE YOUR BID! Seller may end bidding at anytime as car is also for sale locally at this time. Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
