NO RESERVE AUCTION!! I asked my brother if he was willing to let it go to the first bid and he decided it was time. I am selling it for him while he is overseas. I have a clear title that is signed and ready to go to the new owner. For sale is my brothers 1974 Plymouth Roadrunner with a brand new performance built 440 motor. This car originally had a 318 but somewhere along in life was replaced with a 440. When I purchased the vehicle it was needing a engine rebuild due to a thrown rod. Instead of rebuilding the old engine I replaced it with a New Old Stock Chrysler 1973 440 motor with zero miles in the original crate. This motor was completely torn down and all new bearings. seals and rings were installed to make sure that the motor would not have any issues. This motor came with the factory balanced steel crankshaft from Mopar. During the motor build I added a 270H Hydraulic Comp Cam. Mopar Performance Dual Intake Aluminum Manifold. Polished Aluminum Valve Covers. Edelbrock 750 Performer Carburetor and air cleaner. and exhaust headers with header wrap to cherry bomb exhaust. All new electronics IE: electronic ignition instead of the old points system with new Distributor cap and rotor. AC Delco spark plugs. Wires. Coil. resistors and regulators and brand new high output Alternator. New Aluminum radiator and performance flex fan for cooling. This motor is designed to be a high performance road/everyday driver and can run on premium pump gas. I just installed a new stereo system in the vehicle with a Pioneer Head unit. and 3 way Pioneer speaker’s front and rear. The body of the car is near perfect with no dents or dings and ZERO RUST. There is a few scratches in the paint. The vinyl graphics have been changed to factory 440 design. The interior of the car is in good shape for the year and all original. The passenger seat needs to have the small tears on the seam repaired. a new carpet kit and head liner to make perfect. I was quoted a total of $675 at a local upholstery shop to have all the work done. NADA values this car at $25. 80 for the 318 and $27. 60 for the original stock 440 motor. A similar Re-manufactured motor was quoted from from Summit Racing at $7500. this is a brand new motor with 500 miles on it since a professional rebuild completed in September 2014. I am starting the bidding at $12. 00 with a BIN of $15. 00 with a immediate deposit of $500 via pay-pal. Questions that have been asked:Is this a power steering. power brake. and front disc car? Yes it is. How are the floors? The floors are solid. I have been under the car and didn't see any patchwork or repairs. It could have been done but has been done correctly. Does it need anything? This vehicle is 41 years old and it does need a little TLC. It would make an excellent daily driver and with a little work it could be a show car. The passenger door lock doesn't work off of a key. I was going to fix this when I replaced the door panels.
