1969 PLYMOUTH BELVEDERE 426 HEMI SURVIVOR NO RESERVE
This car started life as a 6 cylinder automatic car. I believe in the 90's someone decided to transform this Belvedere to what it is today. The complete original drivetrain was removed and a 426 hemi was installed. This hemi has a Mopar reproduced block and aluminum heads and all the internal components were bought off of the shelf. Other then the drivetrain this Belvedere is completely original which includes paint and interior and all chrome and stainless trim. The almost 11,000 miles I believe to be original but there is really no paperwork to back that up.
As you can see in the pictures the paint and body are still very nice and still show very well. There is absolutely no rust and never has been. Most of the paint still has a deep shine and there are just a few minor imperfections. There are small chips and scratches that have been touched up a small crease on the door and a very small one on the roof and a few very minor door dings and that's about it. All the chrome and stainless are in excellent original condition with no real flaws to speak of. The bottom of the car again has no rust and appears to have been undercoated. It's very obvious this car was some ones baby and has led a pampered garage life.
Mechanically this car is powerful and reliable. The hemi fires right up and in a short period of time idles nicely. This engine seems to be close to what a stock hemi was. I run it on 93 octane and have never heard any pings or knocks. I replaced the two 500 cfm carbs recently with two new 650 carbs and that woke this car up. I also installed a reverse valve body and shift kit in the tranny. The rear end is a 410 dana sure grip. There are no funny noises in the engine tranny or rear end and they perform as they should. It has tti headers and 3" exhaust with electric cutouts. I have driven this car on several 200 mile round trips on 90 degree days and it has never over heated or given me problems. This Belvedere has upgraded leaf springs and torsion bars and non power disc brakes. There is also a drive shaft loop and bolt on frame connectors making this car at home on the street or track. It drives down the road straight and true and stops and steers as you would expect an 11000 mile car to do.
The interior is again completely original which includes seats, headliner, dash, and the rubber mat floor. When you see how crisp the inside of this Belvedere is you will again believe the 11000 miles to be true. There is virtually almost no wear and everything inside functions properly with the exception of the gas gauge just quit working. The glass looks to be all original and in excellent shape with there being a few small chips in the windshield. All windows roll up and down as they should. and all doors hood and trunk shut an align nicely.
Other then the drivetrain the originality of this Belvedere is amazing. This car is at home on the street and also set up to go to the track. It drives so nicely you can literary drive it with one finger on the wheel. Show up at a cruise or show and open up the cutouts and see the people flock to your car. Here you have the best of both worlds a survivor which you can not duplicate and a powerful hemi without the big price tag. That being said I encourage all inspections either by you or your representative. At the very least call me and get an honest description. This Belvedere is being sold where is as is and no warranties have been written expressed or implied. I will entertain trades and offers. Thanks Bill 636 219 7298
