Car description

1968 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible Arizona Yard Find This car was part of a collector's estate left to his nephew. This car was purchased in 2006 as a running and driving complete car from Las Vegas Nevada. He drove it home to Mesa Arizona. He parked it under a steel open side barn where it sat until July 2017. The nephew had it moved to his shop parking lot in Phoenix where it has sat since. The 74,000 mile odometer reading could be correct, but I have no way of proving it.
Body: The sheet metal appears completely original. The car appeared to have been completely repainted many years ago. It does present as lacquer paint. The drivers side rear quarter has evidence of bondo, but the rest of the car appears straight. This repaired damage is high on the quarter like a dent repair. The spots that normally show rust or rust repair are clean and dry. Glass is good besides the windshield which is cracked. Chrome and stainless are in very good condition. lights are all present and show well.
Chassis: Clean and dry frame. Rubber bushings are disintegrated. Suspension is complete. Tires are obviously trashed. We will have tires on it for shipment. All four hubcaps are included as is the jack, and jack handle.
Interior: The interior is complete, and would actually clean up very well. The top is trashed as is the top well, and back window. The top bows are straight and complete. All of the trim is included. Dash is cracked on top but the bottom is in very good shape. Wiring under the dash is clean and not spliced.
Drive Train: We believe it to be a numbers matching motor. The transmission we are not sure nor are we sure if the rear end is original. It was a running and driving car 12 years ago. We have not tried to start it. There is no water in the oil or in the transmission. The coolant system is still holding antifreeze.
The car is available for inspection. We have a forklift on site that can be used to raise the car for inspections. It appears like a very good project car that can be broight back to life with some hard cleaning and mechanical. The car is for sale outside of the auction, and i encourage you call me to discuss pricing. It will not be a cheap purchase. There are few that are rust free like this car is.
Please call me at 602-908-9267 top discuss condition, arrange an inspection, or make an offer.
