Car description |
---|
You have a chance here to own the first of the Forward Look Mopars, a 1955 Plymouth Belvedere convertible. It is so hard to find these finned Mopar convertibles that are not completely rusted out. This is a California car that came out of the LA area and the bones are good on this great 50’s car. It has one repaint on it and the paint shines almost like new.
Since it sat in the desert for so long the interior is pretty wasted. The dash is in nice shape and complete but the seats will need to be completely redone. It has the rear convertible panels but the front door panels are gone.
The original X-Frame on the convertible is in perfect condition with no rust. The Belvedere was undercoated from the factory and that probably helped save it. It does have some rocker rust that we have shown pictures of, please look at them closely. The spare well is solid but the extensions have a couple of pin holes. Overall a pretty solid car. We have a ton of pictures of the underside on our lift so if you want to see anything else please just ask. We are limited to 24 pictures through eBay.
Somebody tried to install a slant 6 at some point and looks like they never finished it. Put it back to stock or it would be perfect for a modern 6.4 or 5.7 Hemi or something similar. It does not run and the brakes are not functioning. We have the missing heater box for it.
Please e-mail us to set up an appointment to see the car. Feel free to ask any questions about the car. My number is 206-790-1063 if you want to call with questions. The car is located in Olympia, Washington, which is about an hoursouth of Seattle, Washington and an hour and a half north of Portland, Oregon right off I5.
Every effort has been made to make an accurate description of this car, but some things were probably missed. This is a project and is being sold with no warranties expressed or implied.
We accept Money Orders, Cashier's Check, or Wire Transfer. A $500.00 nonrefundable deposit must be made within 48 hours of the auction ending. Payment must be made withinseven days of the auction finishing. The car must be either shipped or picked up within thirty days of the auction finishing. We reserve the right to end the auction and cancel bids at anytime as the car is for sale locally.
People always stress out about shipping something like this but trust us it is WAY cheaper to ship a car then to fix a ton of rust. We have used a broker a few things that we really trust so please contact us for his number. He makes the process super easy and can send it anywhere in the US (or even Internationally!).
Similar to Savoy, Cranbrook, Plaza, etc.
