1969 PLYMOUTH SPORT FURY CONVERTIBLE/40937 ORIGINAL MILES

It pains me to do this. I had no intention of selling this car but medical things have to be addressed so I cant take it with me when I go. Up for Auction is my 1969 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible. nbsp; be advised. this is going to be a lengthy description because as it stands this is basically a new car. It has taken close to 13 years to restore this car. two reasons one they do not repo parts for this car so everything on it is either NOS. OEM. or the finest vender available. two the original owner started restoration but did not finish because he passed away and he spent massive amounts of money on it before I acquired it 3 years ago. When I had received the car it came with three moving vans of NOS parts he had acquired from dealers that had gone out of business years ago. also a complete empty body that had been media blasted an epoxy coated. So this is how I started. The Fury was originally bright gold metallic with a white top and a white interior. since the car was a shell I could not bring myself to paint it back to gold and since he had already close to 800 hours of sanding and block work I figured since I wasn't going to sell it lets go ahead and paint it black. Paint used is as follows-sealer PPG epoxy sealer- RM Diamont Base coat Ultra Black 2. 5 Gallons- Spies Hecker Dyna Clear 3 gallons. in total $3100. 00 in paint product alone not including the labor to paint the car which was an additional $4800. 00 but it sure looks beautiful . Mechanics- everything has been reconditioned. front suspension all new ball joints. bushings. rotors. brakes. brake lines. new rear leaf springs. new rear axel bearings. new rear drums. new rear brake shoes. new rear shocks. new front shocks. new front tie rods. new high pressure brake lines. new brake master cylinder. new brake booster. mind you these are all OEM parts. Engine- original numbers matching 318 cubic inch. completely disassembled and reassembled with new gaskets seals and a later model 4 barrel intake and four barrel carburetor. The car only had 40937 miles on it so the motor was in perfect shape just put the master gasket kit in it to be safe. also have the original 2 barrel intake that will go with the car. Transmission is also numbers matching and has been completely gone through with new clutches and bands. filter and a general service. Rear end is the original 8 3/4 with a 489 center section. Dash has been reconditioned by JUST DASHES and the cost for that was staggering but again they are the only ones that have a clue on how to make your dash look the way it did when new. New NOS dash bezels. all switches in the dash have been replaced with new NOS switches saved the old ones will go with the car. consul of the vehicle has been reconditioned with new side lights and bezels. steering wheel has a brand new NOS center piece. carpet is new. seat covers. convertible boot and convertible well liner are all made by Legendary Interior and are new. Front and back bumpers have been re plated by Tri City Plating and are flawless. back up lenses and front turn indicator lens are new NOS. nbsp; Front grill is a brand new NOS grill good luck finding one of those for a sport fury. all emblems both on the side and in the center of the grill have been refinished to original. The back finish panel as you can see was painted to match the rest of the car but I do have another that is still argent that will go with the car. Door panels on the car are perfect. Again I can go on forever telling you what has been done however if you want to know anything else just email me. Now for what the car will need. One it will need the trunk rubber. forgot to order it with all of the other weather stripping which has been replaced. including window whiskers door seals and all of the seals for the convertible top. Two the convertible top. the frame is ready for the top everything is there however I was going back and forth on whether I was going to use a black top or white top. then the other news came about so I do not have the time to finish that part. however the reserve on the car reflects the cost of the top replacement. The cost for the top with a glass rear window is $350. 00 from the convertible top specialist out of Florida the labor to install the top is $600. 00. nbsp; that is all you will need. The extra parts that will go with the car are as follows. a complete set of electric switches as mentioned before. another set of rear quarter glass. a nice set of kick panels. I was going to use those to install after market speakers instead of cutting the original ones up. rear tail light trim bezels. they are pitted but those were going to be stripped and powder coated black chrome. and anything else that has been collected for the car will go with the car. The vehicle is current on registration and the Title is clear and in my name. so again ask all questions before you bid. Good Luck.
