This is my Uncle's Ebay account I am helpinghimlist this vehicle. It is a 1970 roadrunner conv. The engine is missing a head andthe carburetor. These were stolen from the garage the vehicle was stored in when they were going to do work on the engine. The engine ran before removing the head it was making a lifter noise andhe was going to have the heads redone. He tells me this is a numbers matching vehicle including the fenders. I didn't even know fenders had serial numbers? It has the air grabber hood and there are turn signal indicatorsin the hood which I'm told were an option. There is also a factory tachometer and the factory rear spoiler is there but not bolted to the trunk. It has front disc brakes and a pistol grip 4 speed manual transmission. The vehicle needs some TLC to restore it to it's original beauty. Some minor dents and dings which should be visible in the photos. There is a small dent in the drivers side fender at the front.A few rips in the convertible top as shown in photo. The roof is actually white, not sure why it looks different in the photo. He wants to sell it as he is building a new home on the land where the garage was and doesn't want to see this rare gem rust away. From whatI saw on the internet there were only 824 convertibles built that year, and only 179 of them were equipped with the 4 speed manual transmission and of those only 34 had the air grabber hood. I'm quoting this from a June 2011 article I found on the web of Hemmings Motor News so I can't attest to the accuracy of this information. The original build sheet also comes with the vehicle so you can see all the options it has, it's faded but it's there which is a plus. . Any questions please email. No buy it now on this vehicle. Will just let the auction run. Unfortunately due to the rise in counterfeit cashiers checks and money orders this is a cash only deal. Please check payment section for info on using a certified bank check. I'm guessing that there are not more than a few hundred of these cars left if that. Local Pick Up Only. Any questions feel free to email.
