Car description |
---|
This is one of the most rust free 70 Barracudas you will ever come across. California car all its life. Always garaged. (I took it out for the pictures) The previous owner always kept it indoors in his garage/shop. Had it painted in 1998 and left it in there since. That was the last year it was registered as you can see by the Sticker on the plates. The paint still shows very nicely and looks gorgeous on this car. The previous owner wanted to make it into a drag car so he cut out the rust free trunk to put a fuel cell and the battery there. Luckily he never got around to finishing it so nothing else on the car was modified in any way. That can easily be fixed by installing a new trunk floor. The trunk extensions are solid as is the frame, floors, and all the body. None of the body panels have ever been replaced and there is no rust anywhere on it. I’ve never came across an e body so solid.
This car is numbers matching engine and transmission. It did start it’s life as a bench seat column shift car but i upgraded it to a bucket seat car. With floor shift. I do have the original bench seat if you rather that or want both. I am including the shifter assembly, and a 1970 one year only steering column for a power steering car. I also like the cuda hood and purchased an original cuda hood that happened to be painted the same b5 blue. So it is ready to bolt on. this will also be included in the sale. On top of that I bought brand new black kick panels and rear interior panels. The kick panels have brand new speakers in them as well. Unfortunately I do not have the door panels. The rest of the interior will have to be gone through but is all there. I also have a brand new black carpet but it did get dusty from sitting in my garage. Would just need a cleaning. The car does run and drive currently with its column shift wheel. It will need an exhaust set up but I do include the exhaust tips which are in great shape. The wheels are pretty big and give it a mean look. Car does have an 8 3/4 with a 489 open carrier but I do have a posi unit I will include in the sale.
This car is perfect for anyone looking for an easy rust free project to finish. All you would have to do is finish the interior and you have a rare and beautiful car. Also it has a clean California title in my name. Car will not leave my property until check has been clear for 4-5 business days. World wide buyers welcome.
