Sorry no trades, please dont ask what the reserve is, bid til you hit it..that's how you find out.bid only if you are serious.I will not take less than the reserve.I know its worth more, and what it cost to bring it to life and if you know anything about restoring cars you should be able to look at it and know there is no way you could buy just the parts, let alone pay someone to do all of the work and have in it what my reserve price is.This is the last time I will list the car here, its too exspensive to list it here..its not free. Thanks and I hope you all understand.I am giving you my best and honest description of the car.So lets get to it.... While no car is perfect or ever really truly done..I have for sale a well built and planned out... 1972 Plymouth Duster 340 automatic manual sterring with manual 4 wheel wilwood disc brakes. The color of the car is Plum CRAZY PURPLE and was a factory offered Mopar color back in the day.the white sides stripes are Mopar authentic reproductions of the originals and are an authenic Mopar restoration product. The car has less than 300 miles on the build. The car has always been in dry storage and covered, there is no rust any where on the car.The car was built over time, and has been garaged for the last 25 years as an on going project,The man that initially started the build passed away and I aquired the car from his brother who inherited it.The brothers like me.. are and have been big into Mopars building them, drag racing them and restoring them nearly all of their lives.I have known them both all of my life so I know and have known all about the car and it progress over the years, so naturally I jumped at the chance to buy it. I am an ASE certified mechanic.I worked for a chrysler dealer for 25 years until they had to close down and now I own my own shop.Im letting you know these things because I want you to be confident that this car has had only trained hands working on it.I did do most of the building and assembly of the car. how ever the chassis/frame and tub work was done by another gentleman that has expertise in that line of work. Also the paint work was also done by a professional paint/ body man. the engine was also built by a professional race engine shop/builder. The car has never been showed any where.I just tagged and insured the car this last fall.Ive put about 300 miles total on it. so every thing here is pretty fresh.Ive decided to possibly sell the car to pay on a house, but it's not a have to situation or a forced sale.I finished the car to be a pro street car that will still kick some butt and still be street driven. The car is very nice and has a lot of power. the engine is built and good for aprrox 650 horse power,It is very responsive,no spark knock..no lag..it is quite wicked.Ive got on it and ran it some but never have abused it. Its almost unbelievable for a small block..It will really suprize you. the Duster is is very dependable and street able. Its the meanest 340 I have ever owned, and Ive been into mopars all of life.I have have enjoyed driving the car around town, and in parades with out any issues, the engine runs cool between 165 and 185. and holds 80 plus psi oil pressure. I mix the fuel 10 gallons of 93 octane and 5 gallons sunoco 110 racing fuel.the engine is a built 340 with 72cc MOPAR W2 cylinder heads adjustable rockers assembly, the heads have been studded to the block, its built to run and run strong.and has a solid lift camshaft...605 lift if I remember correctly. 30 over forged dome pistons.hardened valve seats.850 holley double pump carbeurator no choke horn with a&n lines fittings and an inline fuel pressure gauge. braided fuel lines.k&n air filter, holley dominator aluminum intake manifold. holley electric fuel pump and a fuel cell in the trunk. the engine has also been bored out 30 and balanced has a steel crank fluid damper balancer deep sump milodon oil pan with a high volume race oil pump. Mopar race ignition custom built distributor with msd wires.adjustable rpm limiter ignition box. autolite racing spark plugs. moroso electric water pump. powerful flexlite electric fans Big northern 3 row radiator. special W2 head only tti headers brand new custom bent exhaust with magna flow mufflers.the transmission is a brand new 727 from TCI with a 3000 stall converter and the transmission is built to handle 750 hp.has cable control kick down. it can be shifted manually or just leave it in drive. the shifter is a factory type shifter, the transmission shifts perfect and firm. the drive shaft is custom made with heavy duty u joints. and has a drive shaft loop.the rear end is a big DANA with brand new Randys ring and pinion 373 possitive tracton gears and bearings and strange engineering axles. the car stops with ease and has 4 wheel wilwood disc brakes. There is a line lock but I never ran power to it.The rear tiers are Hoosier pro street 31 x 16.50 15. the front tires are mickey thompson 26 x 6.00 15 the wheels are weld racing aluminum wheels. the car is full tubbed and has leaf springs with adjustable ladder bars. all of the front suspension has been completely rebuilt, tie rods ball joints, flaming river manual steering box. bushings, shocks etc, all is new or rebuilt. battery is a brand new heavy duty interstate battery and is located in the trunk. the gauges are all auto meter and they all work.including the gas guage. the interior has all been redone and is nice bucket seats with pentastars custom sticthed in the head rest. and dash pad been recovered and looks awesome. the headliner and carpet is new. the door panels are new as well/arm rest, seat belts..allof it is nice.the seats tracks are nice and function back and forth like they should.am/fm cd player with 4 speakers, plays and sound good. the windshield and windshield gasket are new. all of the glass is good but does have some scuffing.all of door and window seals are new,the door glass run gaskets ans fuzzies are new.the chrome door handles are new. the car is all steel and has all the factory type glass.the car started out as being very solid all of the body and frame work has been professionally done. The frame has been tied/ full frame.all of the under hood wiring is new and professionally done.the body is laser straight with plum crazy purple deltron base and clear, the paint is excellent with only a few tiny chips that are hardly even worth mentioning, the white racing stripes really do pop and are nearly flawless. This car started out solid and stripped to the metal,The door jambs and under the hood panels are painted nice and slick, the car was painted in pieces then assembled. the doors shut great and all of the panel gaps are good.the bumpers are brand spank new.the shark tooth grille has a few chips/ dings but its still pretty nice.all of the metal/fab work on this car is professionally done.there is no back seat, but there is plenty of room and one could be custom made easily.there all of the gauges work the horn all of the signals, tail lights, head lights, with the exception of the reverse lights, they dont. the heater fan and wipers also work.the car drives straight it does not not pull, lean or vibrate.this is a REAL FACTORY H CODE 340 car but the fender tag is long gone. I require a 500.00 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auctions end time.thats helps me with all of these listing fees,If you decide to back out. full payment due within 7 days of auctions end. I require cash in person or a certified bank cashiers check, the car is not leaving until the money clears..which means my bank has to tell me the check is good without any doubt. no exceptions. Im not trying to sound mean, its just that the world is full of corrupt people. Its sad..but it really is..I will store the car for 30 days as long as it is paid for in full within 7 days of auctions end time. the shipping and paying for shipping is your responsiblity. the title is clear in my name and in my hands.the car is show worthy/race worthy/street worthy.the hood and doors shut good, the trunk lid only comes up about half way and you have to use a prop due to the wheel tubs... but the trunk is accessible that is where the fuel goes that is where the fuel cell is. The fuel cell /tank holds approx 20 gallons of fuel. Please look at the pictures, they tell the story the car is very nice. ask questions if you have any. you will be hard pressed to find a nicer Mopar that runs and looks like this one for the money. The Duster here is DRIPPING WET WITH QUAILITY NEW PARTS,There is alot here.I have way way more than the reserve price in it.I have added some underside shots.,I can only put so many pics here if any of you want more send me your email address. my feedback is 100% I've sold many items on here including cars over the years so bid with confidence. On Mar-15-18 at 20:16:07 PDT, seller added the following information:
I've had several people asking for a dyno sheet showing what kind horse power the car has.Sorry I do not have a dyno sheet proving the horse power. There is no dyno machine in my area. The builder of the engine said that the engine was good for approximately 650 horse power. But I have no way of being able to guarantee that. The car runs very strong and In my opinion the engine guys number feels pretty close.
