1958 Plymouth Belvedere Hardtop Christine Movie Clone Car EXCELLENT

CLEAN PA TITLE. I restored this car personally from a project to what you see here. You are looking at a fully restored 1958 Plymouth Belvedere hardtop coupe. fashioned into an excellent example of Christine. from the Stephen King movie. This was a southern rust free car. fully restored by me. Runs and drives well for the age. It had a full restoration many years ago and has only been driven 2-3 times per weather friendly season since then. It's certainly not perfect. but very nice. Paint was best I could do. it looks great in the sunlight. but not so much under flourescent light. Could use a good wet-sand. Interior is fully re-done with repro parts/fabric. Car runs and shifts fine. It is a bear to start however. I did rebuild the starter. but without a super duty custom battery. if you let it sit for a few months. without a big booster. it is tough to start. When I was using a battery conditioner year round. it would start pretty easily. I think these old cast iron starters get heat soak. Once you get it started. runs like a dream. Pulls to the right slightly. I did my best to align it. but these old cars are tough. Radio does not work. but I installed a small amplifier you can plug your iPod into. runs through front speaker. Front window is NOS. All other glass original. Wing windows do not open. they were very leaky and were sealed nicely. Speedo works. 3 speed shift is nice. Car has a few leaks when it sits. but nothing to worry about. Rust free southern frame and undercarriage. fully restored and painted. Car was originally all white with a 318 poly single exhaust. according to the VIN and Chrysler build sheet. So it's not that far off on color. It was half ass primer and faded red when I got it. All body panels are original and repaired by me. Hard to spot defects. Frame is solid and straight. no rust. New brake parts and lines all around. New plugs and heavy duty wires. All needed parts painted gold for Golden Commando effect. (Christine movie stuff was chrome. but this is more authentic to the actual car and Fury nod). Wipers work fine. there is no washer bag. but the hole in the center of the hood is there. New headlights installed. original tail light bulbs and lenses. perfect. No key for trunk or glove box locks. No water leaks in the rain or when washing. Window seals all have been replaced. all weather strip is new. I did install lap belts (proper red color) for the 2 front seats of the car for safety. Did not originally come with belts. Tasteful and for a purpose. Has proper gold V on front grille. Original carbs. If you wanted it perfect. new carbs might be in order. but these original Carters do work fine. Timing is very good. Does however. run like a 58 plymouth from time to time. Can be perfectly smooth or rough. depends on the weather and your gas. Does not have original slide linkage between the 2 carbs. but a straight link. Functions fine. but not as original Alternator installed over an old generator. and this car has an all aluminium radiator as to avoid overheating. New belts and hoses. new wide whitewall Coker tires. No jack. but does have spare. Custom Plymouth floor mats. All lights and bulbs function properly. Chrome is clean original except for front and rear bumper wings which I acquired and re-chromed. Under rear bumper skirts are repros but look great. painted closest color. Strong 350 GC motor. New exhaust with dual rumble mufflers. Excellent restored interior. all new cloth. carpet. dashboard. painted where needed. I did not spray the inside of the trunk deck. ran out of paint!! Undercoated where needed. new trunk rubber. Gas gauge and all other idiot lights work. I installed a modern clock that works as well. Dash lights original green bulbs replaced with long life LEDs. just like in the movie. nice spooky green. Heater does not work too well. but you shouldn't be driving this car in the winter anyway. Full original Plymouth parts repair manual included. Movie CQB 241 plastic plates included. Electronic ignition and new distributor and resistor installed. Brand new spare tire. also Coker. on painted red rim. Car has original and excellent hubcaps. Headliner is excellent. all windows open and close easily. I have Christine movie key chain and one key for the car. All the small models. posters. movie scripts. original factory books. repro dealer catalog. they are included. Movie poster in frame included for car shows. This car stops people in their tracks at car shows. Other than the reversed color steering wheel. you won't find a closer Christine movie car clone. I put a lot of blood sweat and heart into the restoration of this car. I hate to see it go. but I just don't use it enough to justify it sitting here. You are welcome to come see it.
