Today, we have this 1970 Plymouth Cuda AAR. One of the most iconic and desirable muscle cars to ever hit the markets is the Plymouth Cuda. The one we have for you is a factory AAR. This package was limited to only 2,724 in production. Finding one has become harder and harder over the years, especially 1 that sports the Matching Numbers Block like the one you are looking at. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of the Plymouth, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of this AAR. You'll notice the body on it is great with excellent door fit and gaps. Down the sides the body lines look excellent and out back the trunk has excellent gaps and fit as well. These cars came factory with the Fiberglass Hood. Notoriously known for not having a great fit, finding 1 with a good fit may even been harder than finding a numbers matching car! This car is done has had a repaint done in Base Coat Clear Coat. It's done in the factory In Violet Metallic (commonly known as Plum Crazy Purple), which is a high impact color. The paint has been buffed and polished to a beautiful shine and is accented by the Black AAR Stripes, Black Hood, Eye Brow Spoilers, and Rear Spoiler. Both the front and rear bumpers appear to have been replaced and are in great condition. The rest of the chrome and stainless is very nice with some showing a little age. To finish off the look it's sitting on a set of 15" Rally's with the staggered tire size to give it the factory appearing stance.
Next, we will look at the interior of this AAR. On the inside it's done in the factory color scheme as well. The Black interior flows perfectly with the exterior color combo. It features bucket seats and console which house the Pistol Grip automatic shifter. The seat covers, and padding are all in great condition. Looking at the dash you'll see the Rallye gauges that are all working with exception of the Clock. Even the radio is working in this '70 Cuda. The dash pad is in great condition as well, and in the trunk you'll notice the trunk mat along with the jack and spare.
Finally, we will get to the driveline of the Plymouth. Under the hood it features the Matching 340 Block that is set up with the factory style six pack intake an Holley Carbs. The engine is mated to the 727 Automatic Trans and the 8 " Rear end with the Sure Grip and 3.55 Gears. For that iconic sound this 340 Six Pack has manifolds with the factory appearing dual pipes with the side exiting exhaust. This AAR comes with Power Steering and Power Brakes with Disc on the front. When you look under it you can see that the brake lines were replaced along with the fuel lines and gas tank. Looking at the frame and floors they all appear to be original and rock solid.
