Car description

Although I was a busy eBayer in the past, I haven't been very active for a few years. I have purchased several cars and sold many items on eBay and I was 100% as a buyer and seller. I want to keep it that way so trust that this listing is presented with honesty and integrity. So....here goes.

VIN: VS29H3B227832

For sale: 1973 Plymouth Duster. THE LAST YEAR OF THE 340 - 4BRL - 4 SPD

A great numbers matching, 340 - 4 speed, 1973 Plymouth Duster. This car, while not absolutely perfect, is in really nice shape. Garry Keay Restorations painted it in the original color (Code JA5, Dark Silver Poly), rebuilt the engine (less than 500 miles on the rebuild) and put many hours of work and money into getting this Duster to the condition it is today. It's straight, rust free and is almost a show car. Why is it not perfect? Among other things, it does not have the original mufflers (currently has cherry bombs), the voltage regulator is chrome (originally black), the Hurst shifter handle is a Tee handle (originally round cue ball style) and while the interior is all original, it could be detailed/updated as could the dash be detailed to a more perfect condition (which I don't have the time or inclination). It has a 4-barrel carb, but the factory (Carter) ThermoQuad, while included, is not currently installed (it will need to be rebuilt by someone smarter than me and re-installed to make it factory correct). The fender tag shows that it is supposed to have the high capacity 26" rad, which it does. The car needs a little more TLC and some expense to get it to concours condition, or...as is...could be a daily driver.

The car is registered in Canada, but was originally a Washington State car (no salt on the roads in the Pacific Northwest). As far as I know, I am the second owner with title to be driven. It did belong to the restorer, however he didn't register it for the road.

I included a photo of the fender tag, and from the online fender tag decoder the details of the original factory options are as follows:

The VIN tag (see picture ) and door VIN decal all match with the rad support, transmission and engine stamps (227832).. Although the differential casting number is very hard to read, it appears to be 2852905 which, I believe is the 8.25" rear end and is consistent with the '73 340-4SPD.
