Car description |

1951 Plymouth Suburban Station Wagon.
Presented here is one of the most desirable of all the early Mopar cars. The 1951 Plymouth Suburban is extremely rare and sought after models.
I purchased this car last year with the full intentions of doing a body off the frame full on restoration. To date I have over $16,000 invested in the car. I am offering it up today on eBay at NO RESERVE with an opening bid of less than one-half of my investment. My loss is going to be someone's great gain.
Please look carefully at all the photos. Every single piece of bright work on this car has been removed, stripped and triple plate show quality chrome. Front and rear bumpers, 4 bumper guards, complete NOS front grille assembly, headlight rims, tail lights, interior lights, all tailgate hardware (handles, arms, locks & hinges), hood ornaments (2), NOS Suburban script, etc. All stainless steel has been removed, dents removed and polished to show quality. The front and rear splash pans, rear seat panel and spare tire cover have been stripped and coated and ready for paint. The front and rear bumper brackets have been stripped and powder coated a satin black show quality finish. The body was taken off the chassis and I have put the body back on the chassis for transport. There is typical rust on the front floor and replacements are plentiful on eBay for about $400. The only other rust is below the rear taillights, which is an easy fix. This was originally a dry Texas car that was in storage for nearly 30 years. Sold on a bill of sale only.
When I got the car the passenger side front fender and hood were not perfect so I bought another car and have included those (and a couple extra) parts with this car.
I have two seven foot cabinets and a large linen closet in my home filled with all the parts. I also purchased several New Old Stock parts for this car that have also been show quality chrome plated. Take a look at the one of a kind show quality hub caps that I designed and had custom made. I took five original horn buttons from a 1950 Plymouth and had the new hub caps water cut for a perfect fit. No one will have anything like this. Of course, I have the original caps too.
