Car description

1965 Plymouth Valiant Signet convertible

I am listing this for a friend that doesn't have the time to deal with eBay. I have looked at the car so I will give you the best (all be it brief) description that I can. He is selling largely due to loss of storage. I also have a 1971 Chrysler Newport listed that I own and maybe a Midnight Express Truck project.

I will start out by saying that this is a pretty stinking rare car; Valiant Signet convertible - just 2,578 made - and then ad on with the 273 Commando and automatic on the floor! And it's not even a bad or boring color. This is going to be a major project but it looks like all the pieces are there and fairly straight for the most part. It has not been verified that the engine and trans are numbers matching but they are believed to be due to the relatively low miles and no other signs of them being changed. I do restorations for a living this would not be an easy project but it would still be very very doable (a heck of a lot easier than that Mustang I did a few years ago). There are a lot of parts available for these and there is a lot of online support/advice to be had to. Take a look at the pictures and decide how bad do want a fun, fast, neat little convertible?

I have not and will not post the owners name or number in the listing. I will give it to you if you ask and/or give him your contact information so you can really go over all the details that I don't have.

The pictures that I got didn't turn out to be the best because of the size and how I got them emailed to myself. I'm sure the real owner can get you better ones.

***** And now for some ebay specific information and it's important.

1) A $250 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours.

2) The deposit is the ONLY funds I will accept via paypal, due to the high fees. If you pay more than that I will reject the payment.

3) The remainder is cash in hand at the time of pickup or check of some sort long enough before pickup to ensure that it can clear the bank.

4) He has this for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction whenever.

5) It's for sale cheaper locally so if you want to come and take a closer look maybe you can save a few bucks.
