Car description |

Here is one angry Mopar! This great example of a 1971 Plymouth GTX is powered by the numbers matching 440 engine and numbers matching automatic transmission. The factory power-train rests perfectly into a very clean engine bay that was well prepped when the car was restored. Inner fenders and firewall shine as well as the rest of the car. The exterior is finished in a brilliant period correct 1971 Tor Red with the factory style reflective accent stripes. Receiving the accent stripes and performance hood treatment from the factory certainly adds to the sinister look of this front end. If being 1 of only 2200 440 GTX's produced in 1971 and retaining the original engine and transmission isn't enough, we think its interesting to see the factory buckets and center jump seat with column shift as well! Not often do you see a classic presenting so much of its original interior in this condition.
After spending some time with this amazing Mopar, it really shines from a mechanical standpoint. The original, rust free undercarriage still shows well and sports the commonly seen undercoating. You will also find new steering, suspension and gasket/seal related components under the car. All of this really contributes to the drive-ability and experience you get behind the wheel. This car runs down the road flawless. It fires right up every single time, exactly as you should expect. It drives straight with no pulling on the steering wheel. Steering remains firm and tight with no excessive slop in the gearbox. Additionally, the overall functionality of the components in the car speaks to how well it has been maintained throughout its lifetime. All items work exactly as they should. All lights are functional, the horn is functional, wipers work, blower motor works and the heat transfers from the different vents like it should. This car is ready to enjoy! Feel free to message, call or txt with specific questions. (616)401-5555
