1955 Plymouth Savoy 4dr SedanThe story: my folks were married in 1955 and they purchased a brand new 1955 Plymouth Savoy. Well, that car has long since been sold, but many years later, Dad wanted to get one again. He found this car in Pennsylvania, still owned by the original owner. I know this because I have the original purchase agreement to the person in Pennsylvania. Dad was going to restore the car, but he had too many projects in retirement and never got to it. Now, my folks are gone and it's time to let this car go.
I would consider this a restorable vehicle. The body is in generally good shape. There is some surface rust here and there, but there appears to be a patch job on the front fender, driver's side (see photos) which would indicate a rust through. There are some creases in the passenger doors. The engine is missing the air cleaner and maybe other parts. I do not know if it will start or turn over. The drive shaft is actually in the trunk. I suspect the car has been repainted, at some point, because the Savoy nameplates have been painted over.
The title is clear and in my name.
I have included as many photos as eBay would allow me. You will be responsible for picking it up and carting it off. I will not be able to help you to load it.
Old Car Price Guide lists a 5-Restorable at $2410. I'm asking $1800.
Please let me know if you have any questions or offers to purchase.
