Car description |
---|
You are bidding on a VERY original 1970 Plymouth Cuda. Fully documented by the 3 owners (still living) who ever owned it and Galen Govier, this is a completely original ONE of ONE unmolested BS23H0B ‘Cuda. Every part that came with this car is still on it right down to the voltage regulator and air cleaner lid. Engine, Trans, Rear End, Radiator, Heads, Exhaust Manifolds, Rally Dash, Interior are original to this car, everything works and all the numbers match. Date codes all line up as they should even down to the spare tire in the trunk and the 14" Rally Wheels that are still on the car. Unmolested and Original Cuda in every way. These rare cars are hard to find in this condition and thisone is immaculate.
The pictures and information listed are all about the documentation of this car. I can send you pretty pictures if you need them but pay particular attention to and study the “Second Picture” in this listing. This is where all the parts and casting dates for those parts are listed. The car is very rare. Galen Govier’s office confirmed that the very rare options on this car make it a ONE of ONE in the Chrysler registry. Some of the rare options here are: Grand Coup Package, Leather Bucket Seats, AM w/8 Track Player, Luggage Rack and Side Moldings. Every Cuda out there has a hockey stripe or billboard, but this one is very rare. The car benefited from one repaint in the original “Lemon Twist” FY1 color and shows excellent. The sale includes a second deck lid with the Go Wing mounted on it. You get both trunk lids and they are easy to swap out.
Miles on the car (82,000) are all documented and original to the car. Build Sheet has been well preserved and one of the best I have ever seen. Even the original owner delivery documents and owners manual along with a reproduction window sticker come with the car. All of this is nicely packaged in the original dealer plastic sleeve that came with the car in December of 1969. All of it is preserved perfectly.
Car has never been disassembled so the suspension drives like factory original. Doors have never been taken apart so the windows roll up and down just like the factory intended. Again, this is an unmolested Cuda that was given a “Cosmetic Restoration” very tastefully done with ALL ORIGINAL PARTS still with the car. Metal on the car is very solid with one patch on the drivers floor kick panel. When we pulled the 3.23 sure grip rear end to verify that the date codes on the ring and pinion matched the car, we had the rear end media blasted and clear coated (pictured).
The only thing not original to this car is an Edelbrock 600 w/Electric Choke that makes this car run perfect and start every time in even the coldest weather. The 1970 Carter Carb that came off the car also comes with it (pictured).
You could drive this car across the country today.
