Car description

Not only can you get a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner for this price, but this car also still has its original big block V8. In fact, this is a highly original coupe with tons of appeal. And since it's this affordable just means you might not have enough time to read the full description before it's gone. There's an instant attraction to any Road Runner. The blocky body has the unflinching authority of a police car. But even within this industrial aggressiveness is room for some great styling touches like the Chrysler Mag wheels and louvered hood. But what really makes this coupe attractive is the color. It's the car's original shade of Sienna Poly, and we think it perfectly represents the 1960s era of powerful cars in earthtone colors. And more than just standout for its hue, a Road Runner is always a welcomed sight because these just always seem to have the right attitude. The wide B-body design means the chrome bumpers look like a huge grin at both ends on the car, and of course, it wouldn't be a true Plymouth Road Runner without the Warner Brothers bird making a speedy getaway on each door.Open the door, and you'll find one of the best interiors you will ever see on a Road Runner. Where most of these are dark-and-stark budget classics, this car features a seriously attractive two-tone tan. The vinyl seats and door panels are looking great and retain all the cool original trim. In fact, this keeps plenty of original elements, including the heater/defrost controls and the AM radio (but you'll see a more modern AM/FM/CD stereo below the dash.) The bench seats of this big coupe makes it a legitimate six-passenger automobile, but it's the driver that's clearly the most important in this Plymouth. You get the factory three-spoke wheel and yes, pressing the cartoon character triggers the signature Beep! Beep! You know exactly why this one gets your heart racing the moment you lift the hood. The 383 cubic-inch V8 in the engine bay is the original high performance motor to this Mopar. The whole presentation looks fantastically original with the orange big block, bold air cleaner with correct Road Runner on top, and even the Road Runner horn mounted on the inner fender. But as you check it all out, newer wires and an upgraded Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor are hints to let you know this original V8 has always received the proper care to be a great runner. That's why the V8 fires up nicely and gives a terrific muscular bark out of the Flowmaster dual system. But beyond just power, this one is a fine cruiser thanks to features like the A727 three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and front disc brakes. And not only do the Kelly Charger tires provide good grip, but it's also a cool nod to another Mopar performance legend.Big performance and a reasonable price. It worked when this Road Runner was new, and it holds even more true today. So if you like your classics with originality, distinction, and power, you need to hurry up and call today!
