The good. the not so good. the awesomeFirst off. I want to say that I love this car and the only reason I am selling it is to help restore my wife's VW bus. Who needs 2 vehicles older than 40 years old anyway:)The good. This is my daily driver and is maintained as such. This year I have put on 4 brand new tires. a brand new starter. all brand new brake lines. new master cylinder. front brake shoes. front wheel cylinders. rebuilt the carburetor. She starts up great every time and looks sharp rolling down the road. The original color was grey but it had a lot of faded and dull spots so I sanded it down and painted it primer black. i intended on giving it a "real" paint job but this certainly works fine. There is no rust on this beauty! I purchased this vehicle from the original owner 5 years ago and it was. and still is. always winter stored in a barn. The bench seats are in great condition! The not so good. It is a 50 year old vehicle so there are some quirks. The vehicle does not like to reverse up hill. it's never been an issue for me so I haven't done anything about it. I believe it it needs an adjustment on the reverse band. The plastic armrests have broken off (they're in the trunk). the ceiling fabric is splitting at the seams. one of the headlight bezels is missing. the original am radio is still in it but does not work. needs a new valve cover gasket (only a couple dollar part and easy fix just haven't done it yet). the drivers side back door does not open from the outsideThe awesome. the push button start is super cool. red interior looks so sharp. no dings. dents or rust. Wouldn't take much to fully restore. or just keep up on with general maintenance and she'll be a great daily driver. everyone looks great in the driver's seat of this car! Happy bidding!!Local pick up or shipping arranged and paid for by buyer. payment must be made in full 3 days after auction ends
