First offered for sale as the Belvedere GTX in 1967 the GTX was Plymouth's top of the line offering and commonly referred to as a "gentleman's" muscle car. It was offered with several different powertrain options and a convertible and coupe body style. Just one year later Plymouth gave the GTX a complete makeover and simultaneously released the Road Runner a lighter and less-expensive B-bodied Plymouth muscle car. By 1969 the GTX Convertible sales were drastically reduced due to the very popular new release of the Road Runner Convertible. In fact 1969 wound up being the last year the GTX was offered in a convertible body style with just 701 sold in the year. Great lease rates and Financing also available on any of our inventory!
