- Beautiful 1974 Plymouth Satellite sebring plus.....like the Roadrunner, twice the class and just as fast! built in July of 1974 at St.Louis Missouri plant. one of the very last Satellites made. it was shipped to Madera California where it was purchased new by my neighbor's uncle in 1975. he drove the car until he fell ill in 2000. When he passe, he willed the car to his nephiew. the car did not move from then until i was able to rescue her last July. it is truely a time capsule. i soaked the cylinders for two months before i ever tried to move the crank. i have built several cars over the years and this was one of the most pleasurable. i have replaced the brakes, bearings, alternator, fuel pump, water pump, electronic control module, distributor pick up,fuel sending unit, carburetor, dual exhaust using flow master mufflers and a "H" crossover pipe. and tires. this car is very dependable.I have put about 2900 miles on her over the past five months. the speedometer bounces and is not accurate, i believe the nylon drive gear has gone, but haven't checked yet. the seat covers are torn at the seams. the bottom part of the door panels are dry and brittle. there is a couple of very small rust spots under the canopy roof. there is surface rust in a couple of spots that will probably rub out. i have washed her a couple of times but i have never waxed or polished her, the paint is shiny and nice. she has ps, pb, air, cruise ( that works) am/fm. Steering wheel is near perfect, the glass is great . you can talk in a whisper when all the windows are down going 70. is car is a special piece of history. and i have the broadcast sheet. you could enter this car in shows your very first weekend. when was the last time you saw one? especially in this color combo. and when was the last time you saw one for sale? i've been selling here for 17 years, bid with confidence
