Up for auction is my 1971 Plymouth Duster 340, Real H code 340 car, non numbers 1971 340 engine, with 71 X heads. Engine is mostly stock with Mopar Performance valve covers and air cleaner, Carter AFB carburetor, and Doug's headers. Also upgraded to electronic ignition. Has a 727 Auto transmission, and a 8 3/4 rearend. Factory A/C works, but currently not blowing cold due to a small leak. Original California car built in Los Angeles, and spent its entire life in Southern California. No Rust, Car has only had one re-paint in its original FJ6 "Sassy Grass Green" color. Still retains original paint in the trunk and door jambs! Car also has correct numbers radiator and fan shroud, and has its original fender tag. (pictured)
This is by far the best driving Mopar's I've ever driven, handles great, has tubular upper control arms, and aftermarket front and rear sway bars, Aftermarket power disc brakes in the front, Power steering, with Firm Feel steering box. Tires are all in good condition, original Rallye wheels. All wiring has also been replaced throughout the car, Believe its a "MH wiring" which is a factory reproduction/upgrade, not one of those cheesy universal wiring kits... Also has nice, newer dual exhaust with glass packs, has a great classic muscle car sound!
Interior has been redone and is in nice shape, very comfortable to drive, A under dash Alpine stereo/CD player was added as well as 6x9 speakers in the factory openings in the rear deck panel. Auto meter gauges were also added under dash just for a more accurate view of oil pressure and water temp. Rallye dash, gauges work with exception of the speedometer which I believe isn't connected.
Car is a great driver, not perfect by any means, paint is older and has nicks, chips, dings, cracks and a few touch ups. However it does look nice, and gets compliments every where I take it. Original Shark Tooth grille is in great condition, Bumpers are also very nice, with near perfect chrome. There is a few signs of light filler in the rear quarter panels, but as you can see from inside the trunk, its nothing major. Car retains ALL of its original sheet metal. I've driven this car all over So. Cal. problem free, and wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. All the lights, wipers, horn, etc. are functional. Its a very fun car!
Car is sold as-is. Please ask any questions, If possible I welcome buyers to inspect the car in person, I can also send more pics. of anything you would like to see, text is the easiest way for me, so if you'd like to see something please include a number, or email address to send them to. Buyer is responsible for pick up. Car is located in Hemet, CA. 92544. Title in hand.
I prefer cash payment, however I can also do a bank transfer, or Cashiers check, I just request that payment clears before the pick-up of the vehicle. I can also deliver the car locally for a small fee for out of country buyers, I'm roughly 2 hours from Long Beach or Compton.
