1938 plymouth barn (building) find. Clear title. Nice complete original car. Pics are how I found it. I was gonna clean it up but thought someone may want it like this. Anyways, it's a pretty nice car. It looks black, but is actually a dark blue. This thing will polish out nice. Pictures say it all. Dings and scratches, but overall, very nice. There is some minor rust in the pics. Both quarters behind the doors have rust spots coming through. And, under the trunk lid, on the pinch weld under the bumper has minor rust. Other than that, she is VERY solid. When you remove the running boards, I'd patch up those areas. Was running 2 to 3 years ago and motor is loose. Dash and gauges are nice. Wood grain is peeling, but looks cool. No headliner.
Here's the story I got from the guy I purchased it from. The owner before him owned it a very long time. As it sat, a couple mice got into it. He got rid of the mice. He didn't like the smell, and proceeded to take out the interior. Which explains why half of it was in the trunk. It also explains the rust in the quarters. The mice got into them. Anyways, he sold the car. It has a few small issues, but is still an amazing original car. Tires hold air for some time. Will need trailer ed home.
Forgot...it has most of the missing interior panel were in thr trunk. I believe they are all there. Also, hubcaps are there. Also has a weatherstrip/rubber kit new in the trunk.
Here's what I would do. I'd polish it up. New tires. New rubber on the running boards. Get it running. Fix brakes. ( right front is stuck.) Rolls hard. Fix rust. And drive the shit out of it just the way she is.
I will require a $300 non refundable deposit at auction end via Paypal. Rest due within 48 hours from then, unless arrangements have been made.
Questions, please call. Thanks for looking. Jason ( 308 ) 440-1638. I will try to answer any questions you have.
I am working in Kansas City. I could arrange delivery to there if necessary.
