Up bid is 1976 Plymouth Scamp 2 door with 132,444 miles that is believed to be the actual mileage with a free and clear title that is in my name, at NO RESERVE. yes you read that correctly no reserve. I'm tired of the tire kickers and folks trying to trade me chevys and fords or trying to beat me up on the price just because it's not a V8. She still a sweet little MOPAR...So I'm willing to lay it all on the line here..let 'em' hang ..so to speak, and give everyone a very good chance to own this car. This is a no reserve auction I will not end the auction so please don't ask, high bidder gets the car.I will do my absolute best to describe the car in detail. please look at the pictures and read my description in its entirety to avoid me having to answer unnessasary questions that have already been answered. So lets get down to it with the description of what we have up for sale here.she's a 1976 Plymouth Scamp 2 door.6 cylinder automatic with power steering and factory a/c and manual drum brakes. 71/4 rear differential. The fender tag is present and matches the vin. The build sheet might be under the seat, but I don't know.i have not looked. the car has had 3 owners as far as I know, and that includes me as one of them.the scamp was owned by a lady for the last 20 years and she kept this vehicle serviced religiously and drove it nearly every day to and from and around town. I have the owners manual a service manual a maintenance log that she kept for the car. The car has been cared for loved. This car is very much completed and intact and has not been hacked on or had any of its parts removed or done away with. the car is very much original as far the engine compartment is concerned. The car is turn key and ready to drive and enjoy. The car will pass V.A STATE INSPECTION. All of the gauges work including the fuel gauge. The heater/defroster works and the heat is warm/ the a/c will need serviced/recharged. All of the lights, signals, wipers, horn work, the emergency brake holds.the radio plays good. the car steers very nice you can drive it with one finger. the transmission shifts smoothly and performs flawlessly, passing gear works like it should. the engine runs smooth no knocks,no rattles, no smoke.the battery is strong and starts the engine right up. nothing is pouring or dripping under the car, only normal grease and slight seepage for a 41 year old car. A lot of the engine related parts are new or very recent due to this car being serviced on a regular basis, So belts hoses, filters, oil and other fluids are up to par. the timing chain and the fuel pump is new as well, also a recent tune up was performed along with the transmission and differential being serviced. The muffler and tail pipe are brand new. the tire are BRAND NEW COOPER COBRA WHITE LETTERS WITH LESS THAN A 100 MILES ON THEM.The car has had one repaint. the paint job is brand new it is the factory color and is base/clear coat.while the paint is not perfect show quality It IS VERY NICE Driver paint job that would cost you around 3 thousand dollars to have done. the paint is slick with runs or sags but does have a little bit of very mild orange peel and dirt specks that got in it,but it stills looks great with only only some very minor and only a few small.. small dings that was missed.the scamp was in real good shape and deserved a repaint the rust was minimal and mostly in the lower quarter panels and metal was used to repair it. the white stripe is a factory style mid body decal that was correct for 68 dart..I wanted it to 'pop' a little and break up the green, so I opted to install the stripe. under the hood in the doors and inner truck lid were left alone and not repainted and still looks presentable as is.the trunk floor did have some surface rust and 2 small rust holes in it that have been repaired and the inside of the trunk has been scrubbed with a wire brush and re coated with POR 15. Although not in the pictures I have the factory trunk mat along with 2 plastic totes full of saved new and used parts for this vehicle. also I have the bumper guards and will include them as well. I didnt like them it looks much better with out them, I also have an extra grille that is very nice..just in case there's ever an accident..god forbid..the floor pans, frame rails are all rock solid on this car the underside is in awesome shape for this 41 year old Scamp. While not much of a powerhouse, the 6 cylinder engine is tough and hard to kill and gets the job done and will give you trouble free service and its a car you can enjoy that gets decent fuel mileage...and by the way the car has a full tank of 93 octane fuel. The interior in the car is in real good shape, the gauge cluster still has a sheen to it,the dash looks nice the steering wheel and the dash pad has been recovered. the door panels are original and still look good, a few small cracks and wrinkles but still decent.the head liner is pretty nice shape. the seats have been redone at some point and are in fairly good shape but the rear seat bottom does have a place that has some tape on it. other than that the interior is pretty nice, all the windows roll up and down good, the hoo, door and trunk open and shut good.the windshield and all other glass is not cracked or distorted, and very presentable. I've been playing around with Mopars for 30 years, and other than the car having one repaint it's pretty much a survivor. Id give the scamp a high 6 to low 7 with a 10 being best.. If you want the bumpers chrome to be perfect you will need them re chromed to achieve that..but they should polish up with some mothers polish pretty good. My feedback is 100%So this should tell you I try to give it my all. I have done my best to describe the car accurately.high bidder wins the auction, the car is as is no warranty, the buyer totally responsible for any and all shipping cost. a 500.00 deposit is due within 24 hours at this auctions end time and is non refundable. the entire balance is due within 5 after the auction ends,if you bid and win and don't pay you will be reported to E bay..So please serious bidders only.If you have any questions that have not been described in my description please ask.also notice that I have included a few pictures of what the Scamp looked like before the repaint..as you can see it was pretty good shape. thanks to all who bid.On Mar-19-17 at 13:37:49 PDT, seller added the following information:
the paint is slick without sags or runs. that's what I meant to say..Sorry about that.
