Was purchased in Iowa in approx. the Fall of 2007. The car was than restored and custom built mostly between 2007 and 2009. The restoration was preformed by mostly a professional and under the direction of the gentleman who owned the car. Now the family has it for sale. Paint- * Car was painted as part of the restoration process. * The paint is very shiny and smoothly polished. The yellow and red seem to all match well in all areas without issues. It is professionally done. * We do not see any scratches. maybe a couple pin head size nicks on the door and nose. Body- * The body is very nice and straight with consistent fits around the doors and trunk. Similar to what production would have been like in those times. * We did not notice any dents or irregularity in the body panels. Magnets- *In going over the body with a magnet. we where able to verify all panels are metal. and that it is very solid. *The depth of the paint seemed to be fairly consistent on the entire body without a lot of variations. (Sign of quality workmanship) Bright Work- *The taillight bezels and rear view mirrors appear to have an older finish. but yet a good quality shine still. *The door handles. head lamp bezels. and bumpers have been finished in a light silver paint. that shows no wear. Glass- * The only glass in the car is the windshield. It shows no damage. scratching. or bulls eyes. * The doors do have cranks and feel as thought they are attached to some type of working mechanism. * The side and rear windows were excluded from the build. as the car was only used in warm weather. Interior- * The interior roof is painted in a flat black. the dash is also flat black with a fuel gauge and temp gauge only. The dash has a toggle switch to operate the ignition and a push bottom for the starter. * On the headliner there is a switch to operate the wiper motor. * The steering column is a tilt style(GM product) with a custom after market steering wheel. and an ignition switch that locks the column only. * The side and rear panels are of a shiny white composite material. * The floor carpet is black with good color and little wear. * The seats are a light gray fabric with adjustable seat tracks on both sides. * Reclining lever on driver side. and center arm rest on driver and passenger side. * The rear has no seating and contains the box for the battery. * The car does not have sun visors. Trunk- * The trunk is spacious with a locking mechanism on the left side (does not support it very well. ) (See Pictures) Tires and Wheels- *Front Tires- Dean Alpha 365 steel belted Radials P -215-70- R/15 8/32- Tire Depth *Rear Tires- Defender Sport SRP225-70-R14 10/32- Tire Depth * Tires and Wheels do not have any noticeable damage. and look like more of a chrome finish that could be further polished. Engine and Transmission- * Chevrolet straight 6 cylinder engine and automatic transmission. with manual steering. rack. and brakes. Chassis- * In looking at the frame and bottom flooring. I did not see any rust perforation. * The frame had been cleaned nicely and painted. and still retains a good shine to it. * The floor pan is very shiny. * You can see that on the bottom side of the engine. the pan is painted. and does have some flaking. * It has a front rack that is not hooked up to power. * It has an older style rear end. * The engine and transmission all appear to be G. M. * The engine. transmission. and rear end seem to be dry. Test Drive- Chad got a chance to drive the car several miles. It seems to run down the road and shift as it should. It steers well but with an older suspension it does require and little more correction to keep it traveling straight down the road. I feel the car operates the way these components are designed to operate. It stops smoothly and does not have any pull or pulsation.
