In 1965 this car was the Indy 500 pace car and there were only approximately 6000 made for the public. Out of all of those, this particular car is one of only about 2000 that were not produced as a Pace Car replica making it extremely rare. It is an eye-catching classic that runs strong and that I wouldn't hesitate to drive across the country (and I have.) I am the third or forth owner having rescued it from it former life as a registered historic vehicle in Ohio (sale includes retired Ohio historic vehicle license plates.) Power steering (OEM correct, I believe), power top (works, but will need to be replaced soon), and power brakes (disconnected due to leak in booster diaphragm.) It has a relatively new alternator, updated MSD electronic ignition, very good trad all around, and an almost zero-mileage NOS speedometer. All gauges and signals function perfectly and it's in very good condition for its age, though it does have a small dent in the front edge of the driver side fender, has developed some "age-spots," and the floor pan could do with some attention. Actual mileage is unknown. My intention was to do a full resto-mod, but am unable to do so due to lack of time and resources. Stance is best seen in 1st and 7th images as the others make it appear to have a slight negative rake, which it does not. Delivery to you might be arranged, though be sure to contact me prior to bidding to make arrangements. Currently located in SF Bay Area and available for your inspection and test-drive.
