If you're a Plymouth fan, you've undoubtedly noticed the plethora of high quality Cudas we've featured over the past few years. From the legendary Zach Reynolds survivor to our latest Plum Crazy AAR RK Motors Charlotte is working hard to continue our reign as the number one source for top-notch MoPars. You might be thinking: that's all well and good, but what about the enthusiast who wants a cool car they can actually drive and enjoy? Well, for those folks, we have awesome offerings like this spry 6 BBL coupe. With vivid aesthetics, an impressive 440/4-speed drivetrain and a traditional, tasteful interior, this classic is an excellent way to enjoy all aspects of the collector car hobby!

BODYWORK/TRIM

Motoring through life as a solid slice of Americana, this Plymouth is an authentic BS 'Cuda that's always reflected silky Black Velvet pigment. The car's restoration work, conducted as needed, has included a new trunk pan, new quarters and carefully patched floor pans. As you already know, those aligned panels feature smooth and glossy 2-stage that's been accented with brilliant 440 billboards. And today, this coupe rolls as striking Detroit muscle that mixes classic Chrysler design with storied MoPar performance.

Unlike most dressed and decaled cars, which tend to throw good taste out the window, this awesome E-Body seamlessly balances a cool personality with flashy good looks. At the front of its broad shouldered profile, a stainless-trimmed, 1971-exclusive grille hangs four halogen headlights above a bright bumper, familiar driving lamps and sculpted parking lights. At the top of that grille, a "'cuda 440-6" branded shaker bridges the gap between requisite stainless lanyards, a small "PLYMOUTH" script and chip-free glass that's balanced between polished trim and old school louvers. At the sides of that hood, satin door handles and stylish fender gills ride between bright wheel frames, dent-free rocker trim and Black Velvet sport mirrors. And at the back of the car, a Satin Black valence hangs a cool "'cuda by PLYMOUTH" emblem between a prominent spoiler, stylized taillights, a second chrome bumper and polished stainless exhaust tips.

ENGINE

This authentic 'Cuda was originally powered by Chrysler's stalwart 383. While that mill was certainly suitable motivation, upgrading the car to 440 6 BBL power seemed logical progression. Pull the pins and you'll find a storied, 440 cubic inch RB block that provides plenty of spirited performance. The mean mill's energy mixture is supplied by familiar Holley carburetors, which breathe through a familiar, matte-finished shaker. Below those carbs, a Hemi Orange block wears stamped steel valve covers and previously restored exhaust manifolds. The big engine's fires are lit by quality Taylor Sprio-Pro cables and a proven points distributor. And cooling is provided by a beefy Chrysler radiator, which is augmented with authentic squeeze clamps and a combination of pliable Gates and MoPar hoses. Take a second to refocus your eyes on the clean engine bay and you'll find a familiar red cap battery, an appropriate washer tank and a fresh master cylinder. And the entire set up, from its fenders to its firewall, mirrors the same TX9 black as the car's glossy exterior panels.

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

Take a look at our professional, high-resolution photos and you'll see that the bottom of this fully sorted Plymouth is a literal expose in well-preserved componentry. Behind the car's first-class block, a tough A833 4-speed drives a durable Chrysler 8.75-inch axle. Holding that versatile drivetrain off the ground is a lucid factory suspension, which features a sturdy rear sway bar and KYB Gas-A-Just shocks. Above that suspension, solid, Satin Black floorpans don weather-beating undercoating. At the center of those floors, free breathing, true-dual pipes shuttle spent gases through factory replacement mufflers and throaty resonators. At the front of those pipes, factory power steering makes the best of turns. At the corners of the car, a combination of disc and drum brakes make quick stops an absolute cinch. And everything rolls on gray Rallyes, which spin a quartet of F60-15 Goodyear Polyglas GTs around stainless trim rings and charcoal center caps.

INTERIOR

Open the door to this well-done MoPar and you'll find a fully restored cockpit that provides an exceptionally attractive driving environment. There's a wide bench seat that rides just behind requisite bucket seats. The wood-trimmed dash centers a correct Chrysler Solid State radio beneath restored Rallye telemetry. A chrome Hurst shifter surfs a wood-trimmed console, which rides fade-free carpet that's protected by "Cuda 440" branded floor mats. Factory door panels and a tight headliner frame that carpet. The driver turns a classy Rim Blow steering wheel. And behind the passengers, a completely restored trunk balances a correct jack and space saver spare tire on a correct mat.

The true beauty of a tribute car is that it can be anything you want it to be. Love original lines, but want a little more substance? Looking for a classic that'll wow crowds AND tear up the back roads? Here it is, no compromises, no disclaimers and no excuses!
