I am selling my '47 Plymouth since I had a stroke recently and can no longer drive. I have over twenty thousand dollars invested in the car and now I need to sell it. Since I purchased this vehicle I have had the engine completely overhauled and converted to a 12 volt system. This conversion includes a 21 wire harness in case I or anyone else desired to install a more modern engine and transmission. There are wires for just about anything you may wish to add. There is no rust on this vehicle exterior, nterior or underneath. In addition to the engine rebuild, had the transmission gone through and new seals installed. New exhaust system including muffler. I had the seat repaired both mechanically and new upholstery. I installed new horns. There was new carpeting in it when I bought it and it still looks new. I installed an electric wiper motor because I hated those vacuum wipers. I have the electric window mechanisms that go with the car but I can no longer install them. They are the type that incorporate the original window rollers that you simply move forward or backward a couple of inches to raise or lower the windows thereby retaining the original look. Very cool! I installed a new speedometer cable and used speedometer as the original was broke.I have also added turn signals that are incorporated into the brake lights and front park lights as well as halogen headlights and an original back-up light. The stainless trim on the car is like new and the bumpers are rechromed and probably look better than new. The windshield appears to be original as there is a tiny amount of discoloration in the lower corners. The car is painted a beautiful dark blue with BF Goodrich wide white sidewall tires. This is not a show car or a trailer queen I bought it to be my daily driver but things just didn't work out. What little bit I did get to drive it I got lots of waves and smiles. I have never noticed any bondo anywhere. There are a few chips in the paint but I keep up with them with my little bottle of touch-up paint. I also added some very original looking working fog lights and they look very nice. I found an original clock (very expensive) and had it converted to a quartz movement. Should last much longer than the original. This also goes with the car but the buyer will need to install, can't. I put in a new headlight switch that includes a dimmer control for the panel lights. Works very well. I took the original radio to a shop and had it gone through. I heard it play on the bench but all I can get is a buzz in the car. I probably hooked something up wrong. There is a full car cover which goes with the car. I keep it covered all the time even though it is in a heated garage. The trunk in this car is very large and there is no rust in it. I purchased a new woven trunk mat as there was none in it when I bought the car. Again, O RUST!I have the owner's manual and two maintenance manuals that also go with this car. I advertised this vehicle once before and the day after the bidding ended the winning bidder emailed me he couldn't buy the car. Consequently if you don't have at least ten transactions on ebay with no unsatisfactory feedbacks, won't accept your bid without comunicating with you. If I am not successful in selling this vehicle this time I will advertise it locally. This is a beautiful old car and worth every bit of what I am asking.
