During that documented rebuild, he car's arrow-straight body, hich includes solid-closing doors on top of excellent panel alignment, as stripped to bare metal, assaged into shape and thoroughly block-sanded into virtually flawless surfaces. Once those surfaces were completely clean and fully prepped a spectacular coat of correct Alpine White two-stage was buffed to a wet looking shine. And today, his clean Plymouth sits as one super slick brute that features a perfect combination of no-nonsense looks and vicious street manners!
Thanks to a 1970 redesign, he 'Cuda lost all commonality with its Valiant stablemate and finally traded its lowly economy car lineage for the square-jawed muscle car image we all know and love. At the front of this rare road warrior, gray, PLYMOUTH" branded grille hangs crystal clear head lights above a bright chrome bumper and familiar, E-sourced driving lamps. At the top of that grille, "hemicuda" branded shaker props traditional stainless pins in front of like-new glass, traight stainless trim and a correct chrome mirror. At the sides of that shaker, extured rocker guards, ent-free wheel frames and pristine Chrysler door handles highlight a smooth, rofessionally finished profile. And at the back of the car, Satin Black valence hangs like-new tail lights and a cool "'cuda" emblem between a big spoiler, bright chrome bumper and square stainless exhaust tips.
Toss this coupe's light hood and you'll find an original, 26 cubic inch Hemi V8 that's authenticated by a famous 2468330 casting number and matching 179181 partial VIN. As Plymouth's top option for power hungry gearheads, hrysler's legendary elephant block utilizes cast iron heads, n oversquare bore, forged steel crank, orged steel rods, orged aluminum pistons and a hydraulic cam to twist stout 10.25 to 1 compression into a stated 425 horsepower and 490 lb./ft. of torque. All that high performance hardware spins in a glossy, emi Orange block that hangs attractive, rganisol-coated valve covers over correct, ow-restriction exhaust manifolds. A perfect mixture of fuel and air is supplied by correct Carter carburetors and a correct aluminum intake. Compression is sparked by high quality Chrysler Electronic Suppression wires, hich are snapped onto a correct points distributor. And resultant combustion is cooled by a big, 6-inch radiator that's fitted with fresh, hrysler-branded hoses and old school squeeze clamps. Visually, he car's Alpine White engine compartment is clean and understated... Well, s understated as a classic Hemi can be. The big mill performs as well as it ever has. And naturally, etails like factory decals, reproduction Mopar battery and a familiar Chrysler washer reservoir have been professionally restored or completely replicated.
Slide under this spotless E-Body and you'll find a solid chassis that's ready for the turntable. Glossy white two-stage highlights exceptionally clean floors that have been finished to better-than-new condition. Behind the Hemi, correct A727 Torqueflite is tight and shifts like new. That stalwart gearbox sends power to a correct Dana 60 Super Performance axle. Naturally, hat spirited driveline hangs in a restored Hemi suspension. Stops come courtesy of standard power front disc and rear drum brakes. Exhaust is handled by aluminized tubes that bend around an H-shaped crossover, hrysler-branded mufflers and factory-correct resonators. And all this Mopar goodness rolls on stylish Rallye wheels, hich twist F60-15 Goodyear Polyglas GTs around satin trim rings and silver center caps.
Swivel this Plymouth's level doors and you'll find a correct Black interior that's functional, traightforward and very livable. The front bucket and rear bench seats are wrapped in pliable vinyl covers that display hardly any signs of wear. Below those seats, tain-free carpet centers a correct, ood-trimmed console on a correct Slap Stik shifter. At the sides of that carpet, lack door panels proudly hang the Cuda name above traditional cranks, ntegrated handles and small chrome locks. In front of those panels, "Barracuda" branded dash props correct Rallye gauges above a familiar Multiplex stereo. Above that dash, tight black headliner frames factory-correct shoulder belts. In front of the driver, n attractive, ood-trimmed steering wheel mixes subtle form with major function. And behind the passengers, nicely finished trunk centers a correct jack and space saver spare tire between a correct mat and new decklid decal.
The sale of this iconic Mopar includes an original owner's manual, riginal dealer supplements, etailed restoration photos, he aforementioned Govier inspection and paperwork for the Chrysler Registry.
This 'Cuda has it all: looks to kill, ower that never stops and a roster of rare components that would take years to duplicate. It's exclusive, aluable, mpressive, nd when you take one look at its unique features and low production stats, ou realize the chance to own something this cool is a once in a lifetime opportunity. If you're in the market for some solid, nvestment grade muscle that'll continue to build equity for years to come, his top notch Plymouth is exactly the car you've been searching for!
