Up for sale we have a 1967 Plymouth GTX. In ’67 Plymouth started production of the GTX. It was built on the Belvedere format but with a different grill and rear fasica. They also had a lot more power. They came with a 375 HP 440 V8. It has a set of dual hood scoops and a flip out fuel cap. The one we have is correct with the correct 440 Auto Trans and 8 ¾ Rear. This car has been garage kept since it was restored. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, nterior, nd driveline of the Plymouth, ut first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, perated, nd own our entire inventory, o consignments, nd only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, hat’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, ictures, r any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the GTX. When you walk around it you will see an arrow straight body with great lines. The fit of the panels is very good. The black vinyl Top shows well with the Orange Paint that has a slick finish and deep rich shine. It has the twin Hood scoops like the GTX was supposed to have. At the time of the resto they replaced the bumpers and other trim. All the stainless looks good as well as the glass. All the weather stripping is in good shape. It’s sitting on a set of 18” and 20” Americans.
Next, e will take a look at the interior of the ’67. When you look at the inside it’s all done in black with the correct bucket seats and console. It has the factory floor shift as well. The seat covers, arpet, nd panels all look like new with the headliner also being new. The dash all looks correct with it retaining the stock radio and steering wheel.
Finally, e will take a look at the driveline of the Plymouth. Under the hood it’s clean with it all being painted correct. It’s powered by the correct 375HP 440 V8 that is dressed with Chrome Valve Covers and Breather. The exhaust was changed to headers with duals. The trans is a 727 Automatic mated to an 8 ¾ rear end. It comes with Power Steering and Power brakes. When you look under this GTX all the floors looks solid with good frame rails. You can see that it has new Brakes and fuel lines. It looks to have the factory under coating that was painted at the time of the resto.
