I am selling a 1973 Plymouth Sport Suburban station wagon. I have recently moved and no longer have a garage to store it in, nd also do not drive it enough to justify it, nd could use the money. I would like it to go to someone that will drive it and enjoy it. It has a 400 V8 with 2 bbl. carb, nd has only 44,000 original miles. I bought it about a dozen years ago in North Carolina from family of the original owners, nd have put less than 2000 miles on it in that time. It is yellow with gold vinyl interior. It has a luggage rack, ptional third seat and two-way tailgate. Options include power locks, ower rear window, M/FM radio, nd air conditioning. The bad:The body has a few dings and some surface rust, nd the wood grain applique is pretty faded out. The front seat has a few rips, he dash has a few cracks (as most of them do), nd the carpeting in the front has seen better days. There are a couple of small rips in the headliner in the cargo area, nd the front armrests are somewhat discolored. The shocks, hich I'm guessing are original, ould stand to be replaced. I just replaced the lower radiator hose, nd after a test drive of about twenty minutes it started running a little hot. There was no fluid leaking, hough. I'm guessing that it needs a thermostat, hich is an easy fix. (At least we know the temperature gauge works!) I'm not confident that the gas gauge is accurate, ut I don't drive it enough to know for sure. The undercarriage is fairly rusty, ut everything appears to be solid. The good:You just don't see these on the roads any more, nd certainly don't see many with such low miles! The body is in pretty good shape. Besides a few dings and some surface rust there are no real issues. There is no rust-through and no bondo anywhere. All of the glass is good, nd all of the chrome is there and in pretty good shape. The interior, ther than what I already addressed is in pretty nice shape. The back and third seat are particularly nice. This car starts up every time and runs like a dream. Even when it's been sitting for months all I do is pump the gas a couple of times and it fires right up. Transmission shifts smoothly.I require payment by cash or cashier's check (or Paypal) within 14 days of auction's end. I also require a $500 deposit within 48 hours of auction's end. I will not sell to foreign buyers (I had a bad experience with this once!) Obviously this car will need to be transported. Although I think it is overall pretty mechanically sound there are minor issues, s I've mentioned, nd let's face it, he car is over 40 years old! Buyer is responsible for picking it up or making arrangements to have it shipped.Happy Bidding and good luck!
