1969 PEUGEOT 404 Sedan. Original Unrestored Driveable Condition

1969 Peugeot 404 Sedan in original unrestored condition. I have not seen another 404 listed on Ebay in six months or more so hopefully this one is for YOU.Personally i love the patina and fading through of theoriginal paint. If I was spending the restorationdollar I would have some body work done in the few blemished areas, and clear coat it "Fast and Loud" style.The engine starts right up, runs smoothly and has lots of power. Recentrebuilt car, as it came to me five years ago.Allgauges work. Alllights, EXCEPT brake light, work. The brake light problem is in the floor mounted switch.The clutch andtransmission are butter-Smooth. The only other car that I have ever owned with such a smooth balanced transmission was my 1974 Alfa.Comes with RARE factory sunroof. That alone is $$$. It opens and closes but is tight in its track and needsexercising.This car could be a daily driver EXCEPT FOR the brake system. The power brake booster has a fluid leak and pressure leak. The car can be driven as a non-power brake vehicle but the brake pressure fades and the fluid level needs to be monitored. I do not and I would not recommend driving it far or fast until the brakes are fixed. But I do drive it as is, with that knowledge.In getting it ready to sell, I justinstalled new battery and four new steel belted radial tires.
