Car description

very nice driving old packard. i've had it about 12 years and put maybe 10. 00 miles on in the first 4-5 years i owned it. since the i bought a roadster for warm days . nd a coupe with a good heater for spring and fall so sadly the big packard does not get out enough and i feel it deserves a better home. i do not know the history. but i'm sure they started with a good original car as i see no signs of bad body work. i think we are looking at all steel for the most part. the wood is rock solid. nothing loose. doors all hang nice. new top whenever it was done. still looks good. tires on the ground were new when i got it. all are nice yet. no funny wear or slow leakers. two spares do not match. one is flat. interior has old seat covers on it. and the old original cloth is under it. i think its good. but never tore it open to see. i had the shift lever and one cowl light rechromed. and added the heater. rechromed also. it has the very desirable pilot ray light on the front that turns with with the steering. these usually bring a grand on ebay. and i'll leave it on for the lucky winner. the main gauges all work. speedo works. odometer does not. the gas gauge and clock do not. the main lights work. the running board spot light. and the cowl lights are not wired up. the old paint job is really looking good yet except the one area shown in the photo. no known history on the motor but as stated i have driven it alot. it seems fine. not a smoker. original vacume fuel pump works fine if you drive it regularly . needs prime after a month or two. but made a special funnel for that and its not a messy deal. it would sometimes vapor lock on 90 degree days and i experemented with the insulation on the exaust manifold. and it solved the problem. but could be done a little nicer. really. a good old car i'll be sad to see it go. but maybe a better life at your house is in store !! 612 919 2208 for q's
