1956 Packard Clipper Super Sedan, nice California car

Offered for sale is a 1956 Packard Clipper Super Sedan. serial # 5642-2272. This is a dry California car which appears to have had at least a partial restoration at some point. In recently came from about 12 years of dead storage in the dry Central Valley of California where is was stored in a carport in the middle of a large dairy farm. As a result the car was very dirty. but was undamaged. Appears to have been repainted the original Shannon Green and Tahitian Jade and reupholstered in a very close match to the original interior style 23. I have gotten the car running. replaced the fuel tank. ran new gas lines. and flushed out the brakes. but they will require further work before much driving. The engine is very strong. no smoke or valve noise. and sounds great with dual exhausts. The car shifts through the gears and goes into direct drive. but I have not road tested more than a mile due to the brakes. The torsion suspension is working. The paint has some chips and a spot on the left rear door where the paint is missing. Plating varies from good to poor. Oddly. the right front door is stuck shut and I have been unable to open it. The drivers front door is cranky but will open and close. others are fine. not sure how to explain why the one door is stuck. It looks like there may have been some rust repair when the car was painted in the rocker areas and the typical areas at the bottom of the front fenders. but the car makes a good appearance. This would be a great car with some further tinkering and re-awakening. I just have way too many cars right now. The car has lever shift. manual seat and windows. power brakes and MANUAL steering! It is the only 56 I have ever encountered without power steering. Clear California tittle in my name. car is located in Nevada City. CA. and I welcome inspections.
